2002 Mitsubishi Montero. Where is the fuel filter located please?

It has a filter built into the fuel pump module that is located INSIDE THE TANK. If you had a 2001 Montero Sport Limited, that has a fuel filter at the drivers side ...

Does vehicle engine turn over. If yes, then pay attention to fuel system. Check for good power and ground at fuel pump connector. If no power check fuel pump fuse, relay and for open wires (power, ground) to fuel pump.

If you already replaced fuel pump and filter and still no fuel pressure at injectors rail, your problem is more than likely electrical. Check for good power and ground at fuel pump connector. If no power at fuel pump connector, check your fuel pump fuse, relay and wiring for opens(broken) feed wire.

the fuel pump relay is in the right front kick panel

it should be underneath the driver's passenger side near the rear driver's tires

Assuming your Montero does not require a simple tune-up, plugs, cap rotor, wires...) I'd check your fuel pressure, it may be as simple as a plugged fuel filter. If it is fuel related the fuel pump may be failing, pressure regulator may be shot or poor injectors (failing) Another check is your MAF, Mass Air Flow switch. This is located right at the air filter (you unplug it to access the filter) On that SUV you can check computer codes by use of a simple anolog multi meter.
