Where do you get and how do you install a cigarette lighter assembly in a 2016 Ford Escape Titanium?

Since the car manufacturers had the "smart" idea of removing cigarette lighters and ashtrays from cars I can't find a lighter to install in my car because the 12 volt socket is molded into the plastic that contains the seat heaters.

I tried that...we can't get the old 12 volt socket out that has the cover on it as an individual piece because it is molded into the plastic cover that also houses the seat warmer controls. You have a one plastic cover that goes over the driver seat warmer control, then has the 12 volt socket frame molded to it, then goes over the passenger seat warmer control. Just the cigarette lighter won't go into that 12 volt socket because of the cap on it. That whole socket has to come out, and replaced with the socket that comes with a cigarette lighter. To do that...you then leave exposed the controls to the seat warmers.

I think you have your solution elsewhere although I would have expected the specialists at the site I listed to assist. Here is an additonal site assuring a fit and providing a video. https://www.carid.com/2016-ford-escape-c...

In which spot does the cigarette lighter fuise go in the fuise box in a 2008 Ford escape xlt

If you do not have a blown fuse. Look at this link and it will tell you what size fuse goes where. If you are missing a fuse you can replace it with the right size fuse. I do not see cigarette lighter on the list.

Rear seat back won't go up or down and stuck in the middle?

On my 2016 Ford Escape the rear passenger seat folded down and would not hold back up the problem was that the seat belt buckle pivoted down below the level of the seat when I try to raise the back of the sheet the seat belt buckle would prevent it it ended up crushing the plastic on the seat belt buckle preventing it from working the hold the seat belt I was able to repair the seat belt buckle with a screwdriver regular Style and a cigarette lighter the soft in the plastic back up so it would stay in position

Cigarette lighter doesn't work

either the push in part of the lighter is bad a fuse has blown or the actual socket has burned out. check the fuse first if it is good then get behind the lighter and check to see if there is power to the lighter. if there is then replace the lighter assembly while your there. hope this helps

Cigarette Lighter broken on Ford Escape

Fuse box should be located either in the glove compartment, or to your left below stearing wheel. Also check fuses under hood, should be located next to the battery. Double check the GPS, most of them will nox plug into cigarette lighter plug. It could damage the GPS.

The front lighter is powered by fuse 24(20 amp) in the interior fuse panel and the other lighter or power point is powered by fuse 12 (20 amp) in the under hood fuse box
