hi! if you are speaking of a stick shift, there isnt one, per say. the truck can be started in all gears, you have to depress the clutch first to engage the starter.the neutral safety switch is around the clutch pedal attaching point, like the brake light switch. if you mean the automatic, i have not worked on one of them. its usually on the trans by the shift selecter!! you could google this for alocation good luck

sounds like park safety switch,there are 2 switches 1 neutral and 1 park, if it starts in neutral,it is working,if in park,and does not start usually means bad switch or wire off.
