1991 Geo Prizm passenger side break light is very dim.
Changed light bulb, same problem. When the headlights are turned on, the same break light is not coming on at all. All the other lights are working. What could be the cause? And where is the fuse box in case I have to check the fuses?

illl assume its not dim, at night, a key check, in all cases like this.
the lamp is bad. (used lamps can have a shorted base so only NEW lamps work best)
the socket is bad. (corroded
the wires are cut by trailer hitch goons, (wire hackers (look and see)
its not the fuse or the switch, the problem from the harness at left rear of right rear.
the signal harness usually feeds left then right side.
so the wire from there to there can in fact fail, or be collision damage
or trailer hitch hacked.. right there.
Try the working bulb on that side. Just because it is brand new doesn't mean it is good. If it still doesn't work push the wires on the back of the plug and see if it comes on if it does replace the head light plug. If not follow the wiring back and look for a break in the wire where it rubs against something
in low beams or high or both? that is caused by: 1: bad held lamp. old lamps can go dim. swap left and right, if dim follows bulb, bingo weak bulb or wrong type bulb. buy matching blubs (same brand and P/n) 2: bad wiring to lamp. damaged wires, or connectors to same. 4: bad combo switch. (if low beams) 5: bad fuse or holder, corrosion , to either. head lamp fuses. there are 2. left and right. 6: hackers, many hackers put in wrong lights. inspect it.
access should be available under hood between grill and radiator. Locate light housing and there will be a retaining ring around the light bulb assembly. twist off collar. Bulb assembly will then come out. Remove and replace. Try not to handle bulb with bare hands.Best to replace both sides and one usually follows the other
there are bulbs in the control head that could be out, your fan speed problem sounds like the control switch is either corroded or has poor contact between the fan speeds and mostly only makes full contact for the high blower speed.
headlights are changed from within the engine compartment... if it's the side the battery is on.. it will likely need to be removed first... do not touch the bulbs with your fingers as that shortens their life.
