Hello I have seen this awesome videos, and I will really appreciate any directions given for my issue. Have shown to multiple mechanic shops, but not results Car: Toyota Solara 2004 Check Engine Light ON: PO500 (Changed), Cluster: Replaced(USED) and as problem didn't go away, put the original back. Issue: While driving, TPMS light, Brake Light, ABS light comes on for a second, Speedometer drops to zero. Shift with a jerk. And then everything gets back to normal. Initially it used to happen every 30-45 mins, now it happens every 1-5 mins. It's using more gas than before. Any advice, I will really appreciate.
Multiple issues... the VSS requires calibration but first, confirmation that the VSS signal characteristics are within specifications.
I had similar issue with my Rav4 2013 xle. Initially, it jerks when I rev past 2000rpm. Later, all dashboard lights come on and engine goes off and it became very persistent. I sent to Toyota dealership a couple of times but no luck. A local mechanic found that a clip for the air cleaner hose was missing and so the hose was very loose. He fixed a clip and that was the end of my trouble. Good luck
Whenever
this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating
that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS, TPMS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You
must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool
and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for
the problem(s)
Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Anti-lock brake system. TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module. TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor System
