2004 Chrysler PT cruiser. How to reset or reprogram after I used a non-chipped key to try and start the car?

OUCH,
SOME CARS IF HACKED OVER 7 TIMES
IT BRICKS 3 COMPUTERS ON BOARD THAT ONLY
CHRYSLER CAN CURE.

PULL MAIN 12VDC CAR BATTERY NEG LUG FOR 1 HOUR AND PRAY.
USE A SCAN TOOL SEE WHY IT FAILS.
THAT CAN BE DONE 1000'S TIMES NO PUNISHMENT.

SOME CARS THE KEY WAKES UP KEY ON ENGINE OFF , LET SIT KEY ON 10 MINUTES AND KEY ON. IT RESETS. (ONE OF THE 2 KEYS CAR CAME WITH NEW)

Press the "Unlock" key on your key fob to deactivate the alarm and unlock the car doors. If you've lost your key fob, unlocking the driver's side door with the key automatically deactivates the PT Cruiser's alarm.

Short answer, you can't!
Want to bypass your vehicle security system?
The short answer is you can't!

All modern cars have alarms and immobilizers. There is a chip in the key and a chip in the ignition lock. If both are present, the ECM (engine control module) releases power to the ignition circuit. When you turn the key, the starter spins the engine and you get a spark. If any one of those three items are not in the chain, you get the engine to turn, but no spark. There is no way to beat the system. You have to fix what is wrong, not find a way around it.

The immobilizer is in place to stop exactly what you are trying to do.

I've come across this problem often.. the best way is to find some online guides..google or there v helpful n u don't need to refer to anythng else.. like reliable- store.com is gud fr this.. do tell me how it goes.. so easy!

You can't, there is no bypass for vehicles with the keys with chips.
You'll have to call a mobile locksmith and ask them specifically about getting a key made for your vehicle. (It'll cost even more because you don't have a key to copy the shape from.)

2 Look for the black alarm box underneath the dashboard, on the driver's side of the car. Locate the override button on the box -- either a black or red button, depending on the year of the PT Cruiser -- but don't press it yet.

3 Put the key in the ignition and turn the key so that the battery is on, but the engine doesn't start. Quickly push and hold in the override button until you hear the alarm sound once, indicating the alarm is disabled.

hotwiring will not unlock your ignition which also controls your steering lock perhaps you can call the dealership and have the courier a key will cost you more but it may still be better for you they will ask you for vin number and perhaps proof of ownership it cannot hurt to call and ask

You can't bypass or hot wire the vehicle you can get a key cut by dealer or an authorized locksmith.

You can't bypass computer set software. You can however reprogram the key transponder and receiver. If you have NO working key, you need the dealership.

Okay if you have NO working key (they give you three with the vehicle), buy a Scan tool computer. They are about $3,000. Then you can reprogram the receiver and the ECM to recognize the key transponder code. Or you can go to a place that fits alarm, remote starters and radios and ask to borrow theirs for an hour. I am sure they won't mind :>)
