Most likely problem is broken blend door. Common on these cars. On the last one I replaced (just a few months ago) we had to order the entire a/c box assembly. Also the entire dash has to be removed to replace it and is easily broken if not done correctly.

To fix the AC unit which blows hot air all the time. Seems like you have a small leak in the system or the AC compressor has gone out. Suggest you try recharging the unit. Make sure you have the correct R-22 or 134A freeon. If this work for a few days then have the leak fixed, if this doesn't work replace the compressor. Check Ebay for the compressor i obtained one for $100.00. Cost $450 at Auto Zone.

1990 lincoln town car 5.0 heater won't heat, but the fan and the air conditioner works fine, a new radiator was installed also before i bought it...engine don't seem very hot ..????

If the engine is not getting up to normal temp, I would replace the thermostat. Both heater hoses have to be hot to get heat inside the car.

No heat in a 1996 towncar

after checking coolant level, thermostat operation and if heater hoses feel hot(be careful not to burn your hand) the temperature blend door is probably at fault. It directs the air from the fan blower motor either across your heater core or A/C evaporator, giving you either hot or cold air. Most cases the dash has to come out to replace this $80 electronic motor. Good luck, Mr.P

1998 lincoln town car when i turn the temp to 90 it still wont get hot have changed the thermostat, and flushed heater core but it still won't get hot the AC works great just don't have no heater...

Just a stab at it................see if there's a vacuum or electric operated valve in the heater hose lines.Trace it out.The heater hose goes from the thermostat area at intake manifold thru the heater core, and back to water pump area. don-ohio

Ac and commpressor come on but heater stays on also

your climate control shut off valve may not be stopping the hot water to shut at the heater core take 2 people one in the car and one under the hood follow your heater hoses at fire wall you will see the shut off valve person in the car will lower the air temp in the car that valve will move to stop hot water to enter your car good luck CJ

Has no heat engine temp good heater hoses hot

U have a failed air temperature control electric blend door actuator, to replace this part requires the dash be removed from the car, the part is located on the outside of the heating duct about center of dash.

Heat will not work air work fine cannot get heat to come on blow cold air

Check to see if your heater core is stopped up. To do this, start the car and warm up the engine. Turn the heater on and turn the temp up. Raise the hood and locate the two heater hoses on the passenger's side going through the firewall below the windshield. Feel both hoses with your hands. If one is hot and one is cool, then the heater core is stopped up. Turn the engine off and let it completely cool. Disconnect the two heater hoses and blow through one and then the other with an air hose till it is clear. Reconnect heater hoses. If this is not the problem, then listen for a clickin noise behind the dash while the car is running and the heater of air is on.

Both hoses to heater core are hot, blender door and all valves move, temp control effects fan speed but still no heat, just blows cold. Help please.

if the air is definatly being blown through the heater core , then the core is blocked.if there is no hot coolant passing through the core then ------no warm air ---give it a good look see if you can see the deflector guiding the blown air is going far enough to send majority of air through heater good luck
