You may not be full of refrigerant... There is a low pressure switch that prevents the AC from actuating the clutch, and the reason is: IF there is not enough refrigerant, you will not be able to move oil through the system and you will have major damage...so no engauge...

Get the system checked, most likely there is a leak somewhere..

i check the pressure and it was a little over .. and i replaced that high low valve and still nothing and the ac switch from the dash to and nothing i saw a cable that was ripped im hoping thats it ,,

Check the power going to the compressor clutch with the AC switch on.If there is votage across the clutch, it may be bad. Not engaging.
If no voltage, you have test the circuit to see why no volts are there.

My 2003 vw jetta ac clutch wont engage. you can hear the car idle up as if the ac has engaged but then within in 2 seconds its stops at this time when it idles up i get a 12v signal at the compressor

IS THE SYSTEM FULL OF FREON? IF ITS LOW THE A/C CLUTCH WILL NOT ENGAGE. ITS KIND OF LIKE A FAIL-SAFE FOR THE SYSTEM. IF THE FREON IS FULL AND YOU HAVE 12V TO THE COMPRESSOR I WOULD CHECK OUT THE CYCLING SWITCH ALSO.

if your freon is full then check the low side pressure switch on the accumulator this could be open!

Car full of freon, air conditioner still not cooling

Yes the system can be full of freon and yet not work, the pressure switch could faulty, the expansion valve too could be faulty, he drier receiver too.
On switching 'on' the AC , is the AC compressor workingor rather does it engage?
The AC compressor clutch too could be not functioning.
I guess you have to go step by step to check first if the AC compressor does rotate on switching 'on' the AC.

I get heated air, even if I turn on the air conditioner in my 2000 1.8t vw golf GTI

Check your freon lines make sure their not cut or damaged, check your fuses under the dash and in the engine compartment, make sure your surpentine belt is tight, also you can make sure your electrical connection is still attached to the ac compressor. Freon kinda smells like sewer gas.
