The selector drive mtor mounted on the transfer case had alot of problems with water getting into the circuit board and also the mtoro drive getting stuck. At the dealership I have replaced hundreds of these over the years.
try turning a tight corner you will feel a surging or tightness in steering , if you have some where safe off road in light sand or grass just for a split second gun motor to get wheels to spin and stop to see if all wheels spun or just rear or front and rear.

i had this and i had to stop disengage then keep starting to move off then stopping and just trying it over a few times back in and out of four wheel drive worked for me hope it does for you
