I have a 2005 Chevy Venture LT. I needed to replace the power and heated passenger door mirror due to an accident. When the new one arrived, the wiring harness was different as well as the wire colors. I cannot find a harness to connect the new mirror or a diagram telling me what wires do what. I’m thinking the best solution is to cut off both harnesses and wire the new mirror directly, but need some guidance. The first photo is of the original harness.

Before you start cutting wires it is worth you contacting the company who supplied the mirror unit and get them to recheck the one they sent you. 2005 was the last year they made the Venture BUT the LT trim level ended in 2004. They might have sent you the mirror for a vehicle that isn't for the LT trim.

Im trying to replace the passenger mirror, need to

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Once the panel is off, you will see two or three bolts securing the mirror assembly onto the door

What is the procedure for replacing the passenger door mirror on a 2008 Nissan Sentra?

I haven't done this on a Sentra, but I have done it on a Toyota and a Mazda and they were both the same.

I took the black plastic cover off the back of the mirror (this will be on the inside of the passenger door).

There whould be between 2 or 3 screws that you will unscrew. If it is a power mirror there will also be a little connector. Undo the connector and remove the old mirror.

Attach the new mirror and plug in connector if power mirror. Replace the screws and re attach the black cove to the inside of the door.

Hope that helps!

Replace passenger side mirror, power

Open the door. Look for a cheap piece of plastic near where the mirror is located. Carefully pry the plastic off. There are 3 bolts. There is a wire harness connector. Unbolt the mirror and unclip the harness. Installation is reverse of removal. Easy job.

Passenger side mirror

If you need to replace the entire mirror - it's a little involved. First you need to take the upper extension panel off from behind the mirror (black triangle) - just pull it of starting at the top. It will snap back on later. Next - remove the different screws holding the door panel in place (not the ones behind the mirror yet!) One is under the handle (pull it out and pull out the filler panel - small plastic thing that has a hole to pry it out). Then take off the rear red light - also pops off - and remove that screw. Finally - pick up the rubber filler where your fingers pull the door shut and remove these torx bolts.

Now is the tricky part. Snapp off the entire interior panel. It will pop off - but very difficult. It will sound like it is breaking! Start at the outer bottom corner - and use a door panel remover tool - check Amazon or E-bay - to keep from breaking things. Pull it out from all around the bottom and sides and then lift it up over the door lock. It good to have a friend help here. The panel will still be held on by a cable - that is your door release - leave it alone and let the panel hang by it (or better, put a box under it to rest on).

Now...remove the three bolts holding the mirror on - have a friend help hold the mirror while you do this or it will scratch your new car! Since the inner panel is off - you can also disonnect the mirror plus and remove it. It sounds silly - but the only reason to remove the door panel is to unplug it!

Get you new mirror and reverse the steps.

If you are just replacing the glass (non-heated) - get a replacement from the dealer. Adjust the mirror all the way to the inside and reach behind and pop it off. CAREFUL - put tape over the entire glass as it will likely break even more! Remove your connectors if heated - and replace (and reconnect) with your new glass. It just pops back on!

Replacing glass is easy - just be careful of cheap imitations on e-abay). And never use cheap flat glass on the passenger side! The DOT has special requirements for mirror glass - buy it from gmpartsdirect.com or your local dealer.

Installing a Nissan Sentra Passenger Side Manual Non Folding Mirror.

had to install a driver side non folding mirror, fairly simply to say the least. There's a cover on the interior of the door, near the window, remove the cover, remove the 3 screws, need i believe a 10mm socket. If a power window, unhook the circuit. Replace new mirror.
