Have you checked the fuse? In most cases the brake light fuse has blown.

SOURCE: 1998 ford f250 brake lights and turn signals quit

Check for a broken wire or loose connection at the multifunction switch. This can occur especially often if you use tilt steering. there is a few screws under the steering column shroud, unscrew the tilt wheel knob, you may vice grips to get it to unscrew. remove the shroud and check wiring and connections, remove the multifunction switch and make sure there are no wires loose in the connectors. If you have a wiring diagram you can jump the circuits at the connector, if no loose anything and you get lights to go on by jumping the switch, replace the multifunction switch (that's the lever on the left of the steering wheel, in case you were wondering)

Why does my left blinker stop working when i apply brakes?and when the left blinker is on all brake lights flash including the third brake light..

You have a bad ground. Find the ground wire on the brake light socket. Run a jumper wire from a good ground to that wire. Try the brake lights. If they work normally you will need to trace the ground wire to its source and repair it. It could be a corroded connector in the harness, a corroded socket, or a corroded wire. Either way It is a ground issue. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

No brakes lights on 2000 Ford F250 after pulling trailer. Checked all fuses and are OK. Rear brake light above cab is working. Checked both bulbs also. Thanks Bill

Depending on where your truck was made you will either find the fuse under the gauge cluster or under the hood in the power distribution box. The fuse for the trailer lights is separate from the fuse for the truck brake-lights.

My ford f250 will not come out of park. What is

check that you have brake lights. fords are well known for wire to brake light switch breaking, repair wiring if broke. replace brake light switch if not working brake lights and wire ok and fuses ok. recommend checking with test light before replacing. just ground test light clip, touch 1 side of switch and should light up tester, other wire should light up only when applying brakes. if this doesnt solve issue, seek professional help via electrical repair shop or ect...
