Brake light and tail light are generally separate circuits so for both to fail, unless the wiring is damaged (where it passes over or under the rear mudguard is usually vulnerable) it is likely something they both have in common and that is the lamp, often the bulb and the ground or earth...

An indicator flashing faster than the other side suggests that side is consuming a different amount of current and that can be caused by fitting a bulb with a different wattage or by a poor contact somewhere including a poor ground.

Look at all the bulbs first making sure they are all clean and correct and the bulbholders are also clean and working correctly. Using a test lamp test the supply to each bulbholder using an independent ground.
If all is correct it would seem to be the ground that is defective.

Trailer electrics problem. 7 pin plug wired correctly I think. Brake and tail lights work as does left indicator. However right indicator doesn't work but tight brake light flashes instead!

Does the vehicle have electric trailer braking ability? IF it does then you may have tapped that instead of the brake lights. If it does not we need the make model and year of the vehicle.

Indicators not working

That is a common problem when one of the turn signals bulbs is out. check the light bulbs on the side that is not working or the side that the dashboard flashes quicker. replace the light bulb front or rear. take a good look at the light bulb filament inside. some times is not easy to detect some other time the light bulbs will be light black powder inside if they are bad. if the light bulb does not fix it also check for the fuses may always be fuse as well.

Brake/Signal Lights Problem.

Sounds like a ground problem to me. Bulbs are not getting there ground to complete the circuit so they backfed through the other bulbs.

2007 Renault trafic/Indicators flashing fast yet all bulbs are working

If you have a tow bar, check connections/shorting etc at the towbar socket. I reversed into a post (hidden by shrubs!) and crushed the cabling behind the socket and rapid flashing indicators was the result. Changed socket and wrapped cable and all sorted.

I have a 2002 pontiac aztek. My rear right signal/brake lamp does not work. When i signal left, the front and rear left lights flash normally. When i signal right, the front right light flashes normally...

as for the faster flashing thats as simple as a blown bulb, replace the bulb and see if that fixes the problem, it may fix the lot because the other symptoms you mention are a bad connection, if bulb is fine check the connection isnt loose or corroded over. if it is simply file it back to establish better connectivity,

Have a Chevy Corsica 1996. Blinkers not working right. When I step on brake the arrow on instrument panel for the right blinker lights up. When use left blinker, both flash like the flashers are on. ...

It sounds like a bad light socket. The brake light and the parking/running/regular part of the socket are shorting out. When you press on the brake petal it's shorting out on the turn signal and sending current to the indicator (arrow) on the dash.. When you use the blinker, it's shorting with the brake light and causing them both to flash...

Check the socket and get back to me with the result.
