How to remove clip on shift lock on a 2006 Monte Carlo

I was having the exact same issue with my monte carlo ss just this week.

You obviously have taken it all apart so you can now see the harness. The release for the clip is situated in a difficult place.

There is a 1.5 inch thin strip of plastic that covers the shifter shaft. Slide this up and either use an elastic band or tape it to the shifter, just to hold it up and out of the way.

Now shine a flash light down and to the right and you will see the back of that stupid gray clip. Use a flat head or some thing similar to dislodge the clip.

Now you will have to remove the blue things on the clip and remove the old broken wire out of the harness. Make sure you document which colored wire goes where.

You will however have to attach new terminals to the ends of the wires before inserting them into the harness again. You can purchase these from any auto parts place. (I just grabbed some from my friend's shop.)

How do I remove the bearing pack from the front driver side of a 2007monte carlo??

Loosen the 32mm axle bolt (size varies) while the wheel is still on the ground so you can loosen it, then there are three hub retaining bolts from the back that are 13mm i think, then you can use a hub puller and some persuasion to get it off the axle. and the three bolts have loctite, you might wanna replace them with new. ....

ABS and Traction control warning lights come on independtly and jointly. I believe the problem is the hub mounted sensor. How do I replace it.This is on a 2003 Monte Carlo SS.

hi if you know for sure it's a wheel speed sensor
remove that wheel
remove the caliper and caliper bracket
remove the brake rotor
there are 3 bolts on the other side of the knuckle(13mm)
remove them
remove the axle nut(1 5/16)
remove the hub bearing assembly(you may need to use a hammer on the hub flange)
hope this helps

Rear end

Did you pull the pin at differential just to be sure? If it's non-"C" clips, you'll need a slidehammer attached to hub, over studs & use wheel nuts to hold it on there. Get er done !
