I used to got my mazda 3 stuck in the mud and pulled out by other vehicles. When driving again, I found that the acceleration was weak, and the engine fault light was on. I could only drive the car slowly to the repair shop for inspection and maintenance.

I have a 626. There's no good news here. Your transmission is gone. Try JDM engines and see if they can get you one. I think their website is JDMengines.com. They are who we deal with to find low mileage replacement motors and transmissions.

Ihave a 1997 mazda protege and after having it for a week I noticed the transmission will slip when going into 3rd gear (automatic transsion) the fuid is brown and I was worried about really messing things...

.One of the most common causes of a slipping transmission is a low automatic transmission fluid level, also a dirty and/or clogged automatic transmission filter can impede the normal flow of automatic transmission fluid throughout an automatic transmission and cause the transmission to slip. Adequate, unobstructed transmission fluid flow is necessary for the optimal operation and function of an automatic transmission, including the function of the transmission bands and gears, two transmission components that routinely cause transmission slippage.Another cause would be faulty torque converter action and maladjusted transmission band.

I believe your transmission may be shot, Check your dipstick level to make sure your fluid level is full. If it is than your transmission may need a overhaul.

Does a mazda 323f 2001 model need gearbox oil change after some milage or is it a sealed unit?

Automatic and standard transmission needs fluid change every 24 months. On automatic transmissions, the gasket needs to be changed as well as the filter. On standard transmission there is a drain plug that can be loosened up, and refilled through the refill hole. Standard transmission use gear oil, while automatic transmission uses automatic transmission fluid.
