sounds like the fan controller switch in the panel has gone nutty. I would take the car to the dealer and let them diagnose the issue, they are best when it comes to knowing your car the most and in diagnosing problems with them better than just a regular joe blow shop that works on everything and doesn't specialize in any particular issue.

SOURCE: 96 saturn fan won't come on ac compressor won't

sounds like a ac compressor relay is not working. check the relay panel usually there is another relay of the same type to switch out and see if that works.

SOURCE: jump air compressor ac works replace relays same issue HONDA

the compressor may be low on freopn but, the fan problem is most likely the fan motor as it is the low temp fan and will run more often than both fans...to test see if you can switch the fan plugin to the other fan watch carefully that it does not get too hot as the second fan is a safety fan that works as high temp or when using the A\C

My 98 pontiac grandam bogs out and tries to die

the idle up solenoid may be disconnected it is usually a vaccume hose that detects extra load when ac is on and slightly raises idle . however the over heating issue is a concern . check that the radiator has coolant and all air is blead from the coolant system, check that the electric cooling fans are operational and they should come on regardless of the eng temp if ac is on. if fans are not working check coolant fan fuses

When you turn the A/C on does the elect. fan suppose to come on evenin cold weather and whitch temp. switch runs it?

Normally the ac fan (in front of the condenser) will run as soon as the ac is switched on. This condenser gets hot when the gas is being compressed and needs to have the heat removed for the system to work IT will switch on regardless of the ambient temperature as it is connected directly to the ac compressor clutch. IF you are referring to the heater fan inside then it will only work with the heater fan on or with both ac and heater on but will not always work with just the ac on.

Saturn cuts off when trying to use the a/c

It could be more than one problem.
The cooling fan could be running because the temp sensor is sending the wrong signal to the computer.
The ac compressor or clutch could be bad causing a heavy load on the belt and the engine.
I would unplug the compressor clutch and see if the engine still bogs down with the ac engaged.

if truck runs normal until u put on a/c- the a/c compressor could probably be seizing causing the engine to bog down -if u are able to get a set of gauges to hook up to or run a/c and feel the a/c lines for cooling if no cooling affect or the compressor i turning spuratically than compressor is bad and causing ur bog/stall problems

Why does my chrysler 2001 town and country lose power when i turn on the ac

Possible damaged A/C compressor locking up. Could also be a faulty Idle Air Control (IAC). It is supposed to kick up the engine RPM when the A/C is turned on. If it is not working properly, you will feel the engine bog down a lot when the compressor clutch engages.

I recommend listening to the pump with a mechanic's stethescope to see if the noise you are hearing is coming from the compressor.

Car Condenser Fan

No the fan only comes on when the AC system high side pressure reaches a predetermined point, so it may not run for some time after the compressor engages.

Rpm increases when you turn on the defrost fan

Nothing dangerous; using the defrost mode in most vehicles turns on the AC compressor to effect the drying out/removal of moisture. The compressor represents an additional burden on the engine which can bog down the idle speed so there is a compensator that should normally just prevent the engine idle speed from falling. Yours is just overcompensating and this may not be adjustable.

When i turn on the heater it seems to affect the transmission.the jeep seems to bog down when accelerating but as soon as i turn off the heat it runs fine.

well as far as the bog down issue it will bog down a bit in defrost mode because it uses the air conditioner compressor to control humidity does it do the same thing when u use the air conditioner

but if u are putting on the vents it shouldnt use the compressor and if it is then i would that the selector switch is malfunctioning
