The reason you need the code is because it has been manufactured with an anti theft system.
No one will be able to give you this code except a dealer and you will need to prove the car / radio is yours.
For anyone reading this FYI.
If the battery is removed from a car that has the anti theft built in for an extended period of time both the radio and the air bags with shut off and will need the code put in to operate again.
It's because those are two expensive items that are often stolen from cars and with that feature the thief's wont be able to use them.
They do sell a device(for under $20 in most stores) that can plug into your power plug/cigarette lighter that will keep power in the system if there is a need to keep the battery our for an extended period of time.
All it needs is a small amount of power so It has a Nine Volt battery in it and it converts it to 12 volts.
I'm sure You can find them up online as well.
Hi ann Radio codes are unlikely to be given, for security reasons.
however if you go to a Holden dealer i believe there are only about 10 codes that are used for the captiva and they should have them listed it will take a max of about 20 minutes to sort your radio out. It may be advisable to take proof of ownership with you if the Dealer doesn't know you.Good luck

Remove the radio from the dashboard then post the radio make, model and serial numbers found on the label on the radio casing.
