If you don't know how to start a job like this your safest method is to pay a good mechanic to do it for you. Describing how to do it would take too long writing it down.

It must be turned clockwise while being pushed in. The local parts store will have a tool just for this purpose.

SOURCE: Audi A4

Not sure if they've changed it but this is what i do for my 99 a4

First remove the screw in the handle pull, it should be next to where your fingers go.
Pull down on the black piece of plastic and remove the screw form the door
Then remove the screws on either end of the door, one near the door jam on top and one near the other side, same place.
Finally pull up then out and the door panel should come out

Hope that helps

For Diesel and also for Otto engines on 2004 Audi A4, this rpm sensor (impulse sender - crankshaft) is placed on the bottom left back side of the cylinder block. 966a88d.jpg Please Rate my Response! Thanks!

I need to replace the rear brakes and rotors on my 2004 Audi A4. Will I need special tools to do this? Can I still do the job without these tools?

'B6' (2001-2004) A4s dont have seperate rotors on the rear brakes like the pre 2001 A4s do. When changing the rear pads + discs the only special tool you will need is a caliper wind back tool. Let me know if you do also need to replace any ABS components aswell as I might be able to advise.

Can I replace my Rear Brake Pads? or does a dealer have to?

You can do it yourself there is just a wire that you have to disconect from old pads and re-connect on the new pads.
