SOURCE: Driver side outside door handle does not work
the trim should just pop off with a screwdriver but make sure you have all the screws taken out first
SOURCE: driver's door won't open
The problem is the door latch, you can use sawsall to cut the door stricker off this way you can open the door and replace the latch
SOURCE: Door lock assembly fell inside door
The same thing happened to my 2006 Aveo. Once you do the above find the lock and the screw that holds it in (they will both be in the bottom of the door). Put the lock back in place, put blue Loctite on the screw and screw it back in place and this problem will not repeat itself.
SOURCE: drivers door lock cylinder has fallen or been pushed inside door
Take your current key and the new cylinder to a locksmith. The tunmblers will be replaced with ones that will match your key ridges.
You can try do-it-yourself, but it may not be as "strong" as having a smith do it.:
1. Insert your current key into the new cylinder.
2. File-down the tumblers that are sticking out.
3. File them down to the cylinder.
When you get your old cylinder out, put ypour key in it and you will see what I mean.
Hope this helps!
SOURCE: door locks not operation correctly
hi
there is a motor placed inside the doors for the operation of the central lockin system. when you open the door by key this motos is activated and all door locks are released. your problem may because of this motor is failed.
cause of the failure
1.the wire going to the motor may be chopped off.
2.the junction box connecting the wires may be damaged.
3.fuse may be blown out.
4.motor itsef damaged.
so please check weather power is coming to the motor using multi meter. if the power is not coming to it then the problem is with the wires. if the power is coming to it then problem is with the motor.
please vote me if my answer was useful to you.
