The numbers are definitely different. The difference between OBD I and OBD II are like the differences between a Windows 3.0 operating system and a Windows 10 machine. Even though they both do the same thing, there are vast differences.

What does code PO 354 PD mean

codes are OBDll and are available online free
try googling your code.

A P0354 code means that the ignition coil or coils are not functioning properly and that there is an electrical problem with them. The ignition coils are responsible for properly igniting the air-fuel mixture in the engine's combustion chambers. If a vehicle has a P0354 code stored, it will not be able to ignite that mixture with the correct timing, and the engine will run roughly and/or stall.

Location of OBD port on a 1990 or 1991 Jaguar XJS with a V12 engine.

A good chance that your car does NOT have one. OBDll was not required by law until 1996.
Some manufacturers had there own systems before then.
I found the following web reference:

"Sorry fellas, the 1989 XJS has no onboard diagnostics at all. It only has a red feedback monitor hookup [with a blanking cap] back near the fueling ECU in the boot. It was used for mixture setup and that's pretty much it.
The trip computer fault code readout didn't arrive until 1992."
The trip commuter readout he refers was a way to get codes (after certain steps taken) to show up in the trip computer display.
For OBDll compliant cars .... the port has to be within 3 feet of the driver with full access .... usually under the dash

How to hook up a snap on MT2500scanner to a 1985 corvette , when it's telling me to hook up the 16 pin OBDll connector underneath left side of a OBDl vette! Now just how do you do this? Help!

!985 Corvettes are not OBD2 systems, you need a early GM scanner to read codes or you can do it manually. Just google "code retreval OBD1 GM cars". Youtube will have it as well and take the scanner you have back.

How do i reset code

The obdll code can only be reset by an obdll scanning tool. Did you repair the problem? If not the code will reappear & some mechanics will refuse to do repairs because they can not necessarily guaranty their work. The simple answer is go to a parts store, have them read the code, then have them erase it.
