Question about Buick Cars & Trucks
Back story... I drive a 2007 Buick Lucerne v8 4.6L.. I was going about 40 MPG and hit a dip in the road. My front end of the car hit super hard and my back end as well. It now sounds like a diesel engine, does not go over 25MPH, the car shuts off when I turn the wheel all the way to either side. I did get a diagnostic reading at AutoZone which says my cylinder 2,4,6,8 is misfiring. I have replaced my MAP sensor and my spark plugs; however, the issue is not resolved. I am asking if this has happened to anyone before and what the resolution was in fixing the issue. Can anyone please help me?
If all the even numbered cylinders are a problem it looks like you've done something to one whole side of the engine. Mis-firing is likely to be 2 possible causes. No spark or no fuel. If you've bottomed out the vehicle you could have knocked an engine sensor off, damaged one or more coil packs, damaged a fuel line or an injector. Were there any other codes when you got the diagnostic?

I suggest you begin by getting underneath and repairing the obvious damage to the exhaust system and anything else - should have done this straight away in case safety related damage had been done.
Once the underside is like the manufacturer would like it to be - then start worrying about the engine compartment.

Testimonial: "No damage to my under carriage nor exhaust. do you have any suggestions on what would be causing multiple misfire?"
