SOURCE: fuel pump on Daewoo Lanos 1.3

Hi

If my memory serves me right the Lanos has an immersed pump, and therefor you need to be looking either under the rear seats or in the luggage compartment for a round metal or plastic cover which when removed will uncover the top of the pump and fuel sender unit.

It is probably held in place by a large plastic or metal ring which either has to be unscrewed or just turned slightly to disengage the securing lugs.

PLEASE DISCONNECT THE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL BEFORE MESSING WITH THE PUMP OR YOU MAY HAVE AN EARLY FIREWORKS DISPLAY!!!

Just as a matter of interest, I assume when you say FLUIDS you actually mean FLOODS, in which case, the problem isn't the pump.

If the car doesn't start, or struggles to do so, and there is a smell of fuel or the plugs are getting wet, then the problem is more likely to be a lack of spark than anything else.

There are other scenarios, such as a faulty coolant sensor (cold engine), a faulty O2 sensor (hot engine), a faulty throttle position sensor (hot or cold engine), and a few others I could mention.

If you require any further help, just click ASK ME under my strange white round faced picture (which my MRS reckons looks just like me!!) and I shall be more than happy to assist you further.

Regards

Geordie

SOURCE: front brakes stick on

either your calipers are sticking and need replacing. OR the hoses have failed internally. and need replacing.. very rare but possible the master cylinder is not allowing the fluid to return usually caused bu a booster failing and causing some down travel in the master cylinder. I'd start by raising the front end up. appling hard brake pressure. turn the tire.. then loosen the brake bleeder to check for pressure. if the bleeder sprays fluid and the brakes release forget the calipers. if they are still tight then replace the calipers. pump them up again if they released.. and break the line free at the master cylinder. if they don't release then replace the hoses..

SOURCE: electrical problem

Find the ground wire on one of the lights and add another ground wire to a good clean metal surface and see if that fixes the problem. It defently sounds like a ground problem at one of the lights.

On my lanos 1999 model,as soon as i turn my indicator on to turn a corner, it turns off and i then get a flickering indicator sound? i have checked, it is just the sound. What could cause this?

I would check the flasher can/cube unit, usually under dash, as it is responsible for both the actual flashing and the clicking sound.

Why the check engine light flashes?

The Check Engine light will flash to indicate an emissions related fault that, if not repaired very soon, will cause damage to the catalytic converter. Such as an engine misfire, or excessively rich fuel mixture

I have a 1999 dodge caravan. Passenger sign turn signal flashes for a short period & goes solid. Reverse light & brake light work just fine. Multifunction switch, light sockets, light assembly...

Sounds like the relay is burning out. When the lights stop flashing does the indicator on the dash light up and stay on and/or does the exterior lights light up and stay on? If the indicator light is staying on then you have a wiring problem to the lights or you have the wrong bulb/ bulbs. If the exterior lights stay on it is a bad relay or power to the relay.
