Question about Ford Cars & Trucks
Was your check engine light on or off? If it is on when the engine is running then you need to fix the codes and reset the moniters. If it is not on when you turn on the key, then there is a problem with the computer. May be a bad bulb or fuse pr ecm.

more often than not, it's an O2 sensor, but it's a good idea to use an OBDII scanner to verify -- I think many parts stores can do this for you (can't hurt to ask), although I don't know if there's a charge, but at most repair garages it will probably be around $80 (at least around here it is)

MIL is Malfunction Idicatro Lamp/Light...the Check Eng. light on your vehicle. Go to local Autozone to have them check the light for free and they can tell you what codes appear.

the code reader couldnt access the software so its a dealer only job ,we do not have this probelm in europe as a sensor probe is inserted into the exhaust pipe ,Only the dealer can access the diadnosis socket here in europe and new cars have to be accessed via the internet as not even the dealers have the software ,its to stop the chinese from hacking and selling the software over the internet so the ECU has a encryption chip that changes the codes used 3 times a second just like satalite TV card

There is a problem with the way the engine is burning fuel also the check engine light bulb is out..In otherwords when a car is inspected and put on the analyzer. It runs tests of various systems. In your case KOER means your check engine light is supposed to come on when you crank the car and go off once the car starts. Yours never came on as a check (maybe bulb out ) or intentionally disconnected. Also your care is putting out emissions above the limit.
