Where is the main fuse? - 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

Main fuse has blown can be in the engine fuse box or on the main red wire from the battery, there will be heat shrink over the fuse on the main line. sometimes 2 one for the main and other for the alternator.

All of the large fuses are located under the hood in the main fuse and relay center. I am not sure there is a fuse called the "Main" fuse. Please refer to the owner's manual on this.

There would be something like a main fuse link, or on newer trucks some large fuses under the hood- one or two would supply power to the ignition switch. But a main fuse link would pretty much supply power to everything. If it went out, you would have no electrical power anywhere. I believe the connections to the main fuse are bolted to the fuse itself. you may have to lift the fusebox to get to the bolts.

I believe you have a ground short in the main fuse wiring or at the main fuse location itself. Try locating it and as the suggested Tech from Firestone advised , replace the main fuse. frank

not main fuse box under hood, fuse box under dash # 34 15 amp

sounds like the fuel pump relay is stuck on. find the relay and replace it. hope this helps mike

could be a starter motor, but i would always start with a main fuse to find the main fuse is quite difficult best to phone up main dealer and ask them whare it is, it a fuse that runs along your main bat terminals, its larger than a main fuse , but can look similar
