Left turn signal goes off right turn flashes fast when I turn on head light on 2004 Chevy express 1500

Do you know what a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter is ? How to use wiring diagrams to test electrical circuits with DVOM? Do you know how the turn signals work ? What controls them ? More then likely it's a problem with turn/hazard flasher module.

Turn Signal/Hazard Lamps
The IGN E 10 A fuse in the underhood fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the turn signal switch assembly. Ground for the hazard switch is from G302. The FLASHER 15 A fuse in the underhood fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the turn/hazard flasher module. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, a voltage signal is completed from the turn signal switch to the turn/hazard flasher module. When the hazard flasher switch is activated, a ground signal is completed from the hazard switch to the turn/hazard flasher module. The turn/hazard flasher module then sends an on-off voltage signal to the appropriate turn signal lamps, or to all turn signal lamps for hazard operation through these fuses:

Hi y’all. I have replaced my 2008 Ford Edge Lmtd rear flasher lamps with LED and I bought the LED Flasher module to stop the flashers to click fast. Anyone here know where the flasher module is located...

i think it has not got one. the flashers are controlled by the body control module you may have to introduce a dummy load into the circuit. ie like a resistor across the led lamps cos the module thinks the bulbs have failed ! not enough load on the circuit the led does not take the same current/amps has the origional bulbs so use ohms law to calculate the resistance value to use

The indicators have stopped working on my 2003 izuzi trooper but the emergency flashers still work.

Most cars have 2 separate flasher modules, controlling turn and hazard function separately. To be on the safe side, turn on your hazards and make sure all 4 corners of the car have lights flashing. Once you know all your lights are good, check out your flasher module. The old, thermal style flasher modules (and some of the newer electronic ones) have contact points inside that wear out over time or become carbon caked so you'll hear the flasher trying to work but won't flash the lights.

Signal lamps do not light or blink when lever engaged. 4-way flashers do work.

It could be that one of the flasher module for the turn signals is bad. There should be 2 flasher modules: one for turn signals, and one for four way flashers. Check you vehicles manual for a location on the flasher modules, or Google a query like "Location of turn signal flasher module on a *Year Make Model*". After you locate them, it should be as simple as going to an auto parts store and asking them for a replacement module. If that doesn't work, I could be the switch in the dashboard, or a more complex wiring problem. Make sure you check all of your fuses too. I would say that if you cant fix it by replacing the flasher module, you should take it to a mechanic because it is very easy to destroy wiring in your car.

The fuse for the cooling and heating systems keeps blowing when I use the turn signal I have a 2003 Jeep grand cherokee laredo. they must be on the same circuit. the fuse will only blow when I use both the...

I have the same problem and am going to trace wires for shorts-what I am reading is 80% of the time its the flasher module. Keep in mind the emergency flashers will work even though the fuse is blown and flasher module may be faulty. Flasher modules run about $70 on average-so be careful you don't roll the dice on the fix and be out $70. Again-if I cant find visible shorts, I'm replacing the flasher module. Check the internet for discussions on this subject-it is a very common problem with the 03s. Let me know if this was your fix if already repaired. Thanks and/or good luck.

Where is the flasher module on a 2001 Sonoma?

There is a multi-function switch in the steering column which controls the flasher module. The flasher module is located in the back of the glove compartment. In the flasher module there are Three relays. They are behind a piece of plastic labeled "Relay Access" You will need to use a screwdriver to pry the bottom tabs of the plastic to pull it out. You will see three small black cubes. Those are your flasher relays. You can get those relays at any car part store. Thanks.
