An engine not only needs the correct fuel and spark, compression and correct timing, it also needs to be able to take in air and get rid of exhaust gas without hindrance.

Blocked CATs and exhausts are quite rare but are far from unknown and before struggling to find problems you might not have it is advisable to first check the possibility your engine is being strangled.

Have someone handy to press the gas pedal for you after the engine has warmed up well; best if driven.

While you listen at the exhaust pipe, have your helper increase the revs slowly and note whether the exhaust note changes to a hiss, instead of the sound of an engine firing.

You may have a decayed catalytic convertor and when they come apart inside, they can clog mufflers and resonators (the second, smaller muffler).

I've had this happen on more than one car and when it happened on a Fiat Strada years ago, since the routing of the system was fairly straight and made of heavier gauge stainless steel, I fired two shots with a .357 magnum into the tailpipe.
Never had another problem with it.

You have fuel runback.Replace the injector leak off pipes then try.If this does not work then have a non return valve fitted to your fuel supply pipe close as possible to the punp.Hope that was helpfull good luck.

P2104--Throttle Actuator Control System-forced idle

P2112--Throttle Actuator Control System-stuck closed

That could be anything from-----simply spraying the throttle
plate with CRC Throttle Body Cleaner,to Coil misfires ,coming
back on your TPS Sensor and setting your codes,to a bad
APP Sensor (accelerator pedal position sensor) to worse
case,a bad TACM (throttle actuator control motor)

The TACM you never want, because it requires a complete
new throttle body from Ford --for the tune of over $600 just for the
part. That forces you to install yourself ,which is easy.

Spray the throttle plate and let me know if you have other
codes for misfires.

I hope you do not, still have 4 or 5 year old spark plugs
still in that motor. Get them out of there

I'll have no pulse or power to my injectors spark is good and petrol pump running but no start on my Ford Bantam 2006 rocam motor

what does pulse mean, scope or NOid test lamp dead on injector
or the injector tips do now spray when engine is cranked
we can not see you doing the tests and matters.

symptoms. my guess African car, and no engine told, gas/petrol not told
sizes in CC or liters. 4cylinders? (roller cam sure)
2006 is GEN 3.
wiki says it is
1,297 cc and 1,597 cc Rocam (Roller Finger Camshaft)
1.3 or 1.6L which one? SOHC
Brazilian-designed Rocam engine is of single overhead-cam configuration with two valves per cylinder.

dead engine, cranks fast right but engine is dead, will not start or stay running.
won't start with quick start spray works, but will not stay running,
seems it has spark (spray works and sounds good)
starts but will not RUN, (spray lasts for 3 seconds)

so is the cam belt ignored and now slipped (if has belt, no books here)
all fuses, good
scan the PCM for DTC error test

the PCM cuts fuel (injectors) for many reasons, for sure to not catch fire.
1: all fused checked for good in all fuses boxes. as in ALL.
2:no real engine told or country told so folks can help with more exact answers
causes, injection dead ( but PCM fires them with electrical pulse)
top cause fuel pressure not to spec,
the crack a line dribble tests are no good. if dry yes but dribble tests mean zero.
the PSI (BAR)_ pressure must be at spec to the fuel rail.

that is one answser, now lets to , injector all 4 pins have no electrical pulse using noid test lamp or scope see the super fast pulse there, 5mS (0.005 seconds)
that cause is, PCM sees spark dead even if spark is good
the PCM seens throttle by wire dead if present, (no books in USA for bantam)
PCM sees CMP or CKP sensor errors, cam or crank sensors.
PCM sees IMMO failing (security key if has it)

now answer 3.
the engine compression is not 150psi and up tested. 10Bar up, not less.
on all 4 cylinder, and near even.

EGR stuck open
CAT core melted and now engine can not pump air, or run.
lots of test to do .
but I bet fuel pressure is wrong, at the rail 30psi up. for most cars
I have no PSI spec, 2bar up. fuel pressure. not zero not 1. but 2 up.

There no fire on sparks plug's ford bantam 1.3 rocam

no year car told. (will Assume starter cranks fast)
NO SPARK (fire only happens with fuel) fueling is last.

when did it last run this car, last week, month, year, ? or never
as in fixing dead car for friend ,etc? for found a dead car?

spark that is called, the High voltage HV ) spark coil makes spark happen on all gas engines. and evolved radically from 1990 to now.
so your not telling cars year, country, makes answer frankly impossible
Generic answer next. (4cyl. 1.3L)

  • fuses blown. (we check them all, )
  • icm bad, or bad distributor. or installed wrong.
  • 2 coil packs,? 1,3,4,2 fired, and wired backwards (OOPS)
  • COPS bad. (coil over plugs x4)
  • CKP bad
  • CMP bad
  • cam belt slipped making CMP and CKP LIE and ECU ignores them. or fires sparks in WRONG TIME.(varies by year made)
  • wires bad to all that. or connector, there.
  • key switch bad (ing pin)
  • bad spark coil HV,or HV wires sets bad. to distrib or to coil packs.
  • always test all spark plugs not just one., or bark up the wrong tree easy.
if 2 coil packs the HV lugs most not connected wrong,
or spark firing order is lost.
if 2coil packs, 1 spark plug or 1 HV wire fails 1 spark plugs die
and 4cyl with only 2 sparks good cannot RUN.
1,3,4,2 is order.

1983 to 2011 years wiki says

The Ford Bantam is a coup? utility/pickup (known in South African English as a 'Bakkie') produced in South Africa. Production of the Bantam spanned three generations, with the vehicle produced in South Africa for sale within the South African market.

Brazilian-designed Rocam engine is of single overhead-cam configuration with two valves per cylinder.
2002 to 2006, it says.
Zetec Rocam (Duratec 8v) was cam chain driven, but I'm not sure, none sold here.USA

My bantam rocam starts but no power at fuse box, no indicators and wipers. I checked the main fuses next to battery they all fine

engine starts and runs and stays running, even runs 1 hours.
if yes battery is not dead, only fuses blow.

Ford Bantam Rocam no year told makes answer 10x , more hard.
no country told and is not USA.
battery dead, charge it ? or jumpstart car,

no car told nor country or engine.
Also called Mazda Rustler (1983-2001) Production---83 to 2011

2002 to 2006?

The third-generation Bantam was initially made available with a choice of 1,297 cc and 1,597 cc Rocam (Roller Finger Camshaft) petrol engines, and a normally-aspirated 1,755 cc Endura-D diesel engine. Being a low-cost derivative of the multi-valve Zetec-SE that was intended for developing markets, the Brazilian-designed Rocam engine is of single overhead-cam configuration with two valves per cylinder.

fuse in cab and under hood must all be good,
most posters here (noobs) think one fuse box, then open hood and are omg 2, yes.
then discover Fusible links blown 50 to 100 + amps making alternator dead or other fuse boxes dead, (n0 12vdc means dead power DC)
engine running battery reads 13. to 15 vdc but if lower alt is dead or off line or fuse huge it is blown/

sorry no bantams in USA nor books for it to make me share, schematics.
not old what you meant. by

"no power at fuse box" using a voltmeter> you saw 0vdc zero volts DC,
>??
we can not see you do tests, so tell the test methods.
yes a voltmeter finds all this out most easy, done right.
open mind to 2 or 3 fuseboxs or more on allcars, and for sure fords and their stinky hard to find FUSIBLE links in vast odd shapes.
odd seen and odd to find, them.
key on zero volts across a fuse is good fuse.
then 12vdc to ground key on..

do head lamps work key on and off?

wipers and turns dead.
but what else works??????? sure engine but what else.

cars electrics look like nakked (sic) tree and we call branches same and a power feed too.
at the base of said tree are huge fuses. some are 50amps up]
and 2 or 4 of them. can be.
so all are tested.

this forum is global, so no country told gets wrong answers,
mine is pure GENERIC>

My ford rocam 1.3 doesn't ten(turn) the key and no spark at plugs

in africa or in australia? not told nor year car, hard to answer that.
NO country told !
1976 to present.
wow must we guess it all?
ROCAM naME IS ONLY CLUE HERE.
April 1, 2002, the Fiesta Mark V SEEN FIRST WIKI HERE.
IS THIS IT?
And states
The previous push-rod 1.3 L engine was initially available in the UK, but this was quickly replaced with a Rocam 1.3 L, both under the name Duratec 8v??<<< this?
We have no such car here .USA, so no books or parts for it.
and facts are hard to find lacking country and year car.
now some generic answers,
1: al fuses good>?
2: does ten mean turn, the key is dead or just means the key turned to start;/crank position, the starter motor is dead,
or means key to start it does crank fast and all 4 spark plugs are dead.
3: is this a distributor spark or 2 coil packs or 4 COP packs engine./
4: post a photo of your spark plugs.
5: bad spark , has 3 different answers, year car not old or photo of spark plugs not posted.
classic list, (no spark)
bad CMP, bad CKP bad distributor, cam belt snapped or snapped off,
bad coil packs, bad, ICM , bad ECU.
if distributor, bad HV wires, bad cap, bad rotor or bad pickup coil inside dizzy base.
there I think i got 30 years covered, on no year cars.

After changing the top gasket of my rocam 1.6 engine the engine idles smoothly but if i try to ref the engine it just smudders

Sounds like your mixture is wrong, probably too rich. If there's more smoke than normal when you do rev it then it's too rich a fuel mixture. To rev it try blipping the throttle before you go for a full rev to try to clear out any excess fuel. If the reason you changed the head gasket was because the old one was leaking then the odds are that the new one is now sealing the system but your settings are now out as the settings to get it to run properly with a leaking gasket are different.

Ford bantam1.6i xlt rocam 2006 .the idling does not stay level it goes up and down

If the battery has just been replaced or discharged this could be normal.

With a battery disconnect the learned calibration of the cars computers are reset to factory settings including idle,

The car needs to relearn the idle and running settings. It can take several minutes and driving for this to occur. The car will in many cases want to stall during this learning cycle.

Note this problem usually will only occur during battery replacement or discharge.

If not associated with a battery disconnect then borrow an OBDII scanner and read the codes. If the car is derivable take it to your friendly auto parts store for a complementary scan tool code readout. The computer information will lead you to the likely sensor culprit.

Hope this helps?
