Andrew, the locks don't work from the drivers door or don't work from either door? It's usually the master control on the drivers door that goes bad and on a lot of them the switch on the passenger's door is wired through the drivers door switch same as with the master window control. I think you will find the switch on the drivers door bad.

Testimonial: "yes the locks dont work from either switch, or the key fob button. all i get is a click from the relay inside int. fusebox everytime i press the lock or unlock button. I tested everything with a mechanic he said the switches were good i changed the relay inside the fuse box and iit still clicks"

If your relay clicks that's a good thing however you still need to double check it you see 12 v is going in on the small blades powering the coil making it open connect allowing higher amperage 12 v to power the motors they need a lot of juice .Unplug the relay you will need jumper wires and a cheap muilty meter attach the small terminals to the battery it will open witch will make the wider terminals connect and send power to the drivers door master control. I f you have power their its most likely a bad connection water snow salt you just have to take it apart they wiggle wires at connectors before you rip to much apart

Testimonial: "The terminal connectors were tested at the switch, at the actuator and the actuator was jumped with the battery and everything worked. Also I changed the relay built into the interior fuse box Tyco 15418991. I put a new one in soldered and everything. The problem I’m having is that it still clicks and there isn’t a relay you can just change and unplug for the door locks like the older silverados"

SOURCE: where is the door lock relay located on a 1999

  • Aux Relay Box #4 is in the rear driver's side removable panel with the tire jack.
  • This Relay box holds the Door Lock / Unlock relays (ice cube type). It also holds the Driver Door Unlock Relay and the ACC Lights Relay (rectangular relays).

2012 Equinox. Door locks operate intermittently (once every few days), so it isn't a wire or a fuse. My bet is that it is a relay or the body control module.

Did you hook up a professional grade scan tool an check BCM codes ,view live input data for power locks .
    Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
    • Driver door lock switch--Provides a switched voltage signal to the body control module (BCM) for both lock and unlock switch activations.
    • Front passenger door lock switch--Provides a switched voltage signal to the BCM for both lock and unlock switch activations.
    • Door lock relay--Located in the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block and controls the locking of all doors and liftgate.
    • Door unlock relay--Located in the I/P fuse block and controls the unlocking of the passenger doors and liftgate.
    • Driver door unlock relay--Located in the I/P fuse block and controls the unlocking of the driver door.
    • BCM--Class 2 module which requires programming when replaced
    • Reversible door lock actuators in each of the doors
    • LOCK/MIRROR 10 A fuse--Located in the I/P fuse block, supplies power for the door lock switches and relays.
    • DR LCK 20 A fuse--Located in the I/P fuse block, supplies power to the relays.

    DTC Descriptors
DTC B3125 00: Left Front/Driver Door Only Unlock Circuit
DTC B3130 00: All Door Unlock Circuit
DTC B3135 00: All Door Lock Circuit

DTC B3140 00: Driver Unlock Switch Circuit
DTC B3145 00: Passenger Unlock Switch Circuit
DTC B3150 00: Driver Lock Switch Circuit
DTC B3155 00: Right Front Lock Switch Circuit

The relays in the I/P fuse box are not listed because you can't change them so why show then . They are PCB - relays Printed circuit board relays , soldered directly to the circuit board inside the fuse box.

You best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop. I would say the vehicle has a lose connection somewhere . Ground ,

My bet is that it is a relay or the body control module. ??? Then you would be wrong Take it to a professional before you start replacing parts it doesn't need .
