You didn't say what size engine, but if you have a coil per cylinder check the under hood fuse block check fuse #29 10 amp and if its good look at relay #60 it's the powertrain relay. To see if it clicks when the switch turns on if yes remove the relay and jumper from #30 to #87 this should power up the coils.

Testimonial: "the fuses only go to 59 and its a 4.2 motor I appreciate any info u can give ty"

Look at fuse #29 it’s a 15 amp in the under hood fuse block if it’s good see if the security light is working then do a reset by doing this. Don’t disconnect the battery but for future reference touching the battery cable together discharges all the transistors and diodes and takes 10 seconds this will make every computer in the vehicle to return to factory specs. NOW, lets do the reset this should take 1/2 hour...turn the key to the start position just long enough to slightly crank the engine or make the starter tick then release the key and wait 10 minutes after ten minutes turn the key off then repeat 2 more times at the end of this it should start.

Need to get a scan tool and look at the data stream while it is running for alot more info. Also any trouble codes.Sounds like initially, the engine isn't getting any fuel.I would have a pressure gauge connected to the fuel rail on the engine,so i could monitor the fuel pressure while all this is going on.Items to look at on the data stream would be timing, what timing is the PCM commanding for the engine. Also, have you checked for continuos power feed to the coils during this no start condition, and fire at the plugs while cranking. You could possibly still have spark, but maybe it is extremely weak?I have seen bad ignition switches cause weird problems before too. Many things power up through the ignition switch, just a thought.Have also seen bad PCM's cause strange problems..38 volts is a little on the low side for GM.Usually see those at,at least .50 and up,and rise steadily while pressing the throttle,up to just under 5.0 volts.Potentiometer with 5 volt supply.Vacuum leak can be checked with engine running at a steady idle speed, spray brake cleaner all around the intake manifold and listen for engine speed change.

You need power on both sides of the coil with key on engine off. With test light on neg side of coil you should get flashing light with engine cranking. No flashing indicates no trigger from ign module. No flashing can also mean the pick-up is faulty. To check pick-up dissconnect from module and use analoge meter set on ohms.Check meter movement during crank. If o/k check rotor for burn through.and change module.

I would be thinking that there is a good chance that you need to be checking out replacing the computer, if you aren't getting any communication with the proper scan tool then the computer isn't communicating with anything in the vehicle...... I would have guessed first off that the ignition control module might be bad but that is obviously part of the computer also, I would be looking in that direction.

2005 Chevy Trailblazer. New ECU, new coils, new crank sensor, new cam sensors, runs on three cylinders and smells like its lean, with multiple misfires.

If CEL is on then you need to read the fault codes for direction. You've swapped a lot of parts unnecessarily and likely created more problems than you solved.

You won't be successful guessing.
Keep your old GM original parts because after matket engine sensors/actuators are notorious for poor quality and usually create more problems than solved.

05 Trailblazer I put new spark plugs in and then no throttle response, checked fuel pressure an is within specs but bleds off fast. Will not stay running and has not set any codes? Whats going on?

This sounds like a failing fuel pump. If the power is on and you loose pressure the pump is bleeding by. Replace with an AC Delco pump only this has been an on going issue with after market brands.

make sure there is proper fuel pressure (test it with a gauge) or the computer will not send fuel signal to the pump, and the coils will not get power.

No Spark

If you have no spark at the plugs, are you getting voltage and a ground signal at the coil when you crank the engine ?

I have a 2005 chevy trailblazer ls...It just quit and would not start, had to get it towed home. My husband checked the timing and it didn't jump timing. the motor turns over but will not start. He...

sure, sounds like he knows his way around the engine. Does he have a multi-meter? What I would do is check the injectors and ignition coils to see if they are getting AC voltage while you are cranking the engine. This will tell us if the problem is fire or fuel. We can then go from there.

check the asd relay swap it with another like it. also check fuses and old car alarm if it had one.the cam and crank sensor will not affect fuel pressure. the cam sensor should not stop this car from starting. but the crank sensor will. good luck.
