It is located on the tires (near the brake rotors for the front tires and in the rear end housing for the rear tires). The job of the wheel speed sensor is to constantly monitor and report the rotational speed of each tire to the ABS control module.

The tall center light is located behind the upper hatch inside panel. There are two panels need to remove. One panel is on the right, the other on the left. To remove the panels you have to use flat screw driver to pry out the panel in several locations. (These panels are secured by several small metal clips.) Be careful to collect all these clips and replace them on the back of the panel. You will need these clips to replace the panel later on. After remove the panels, you will be able to locate the screws on the tall center stop light assembly. Remove those screws and cover. After replacing light bulb. Assemble everything in reverse order. Remember, the metal clips have to set on the back of the two panels not the car body.

You don't need to change diff oils very often after first initial stage (usually about 25000km) After that about 80000km capacity should be in manual Probably about a quart each but just fill them up till oil starts running out cause the hole where you put the oil in is the level

SOURCE: 2000 Lexus RX 300 - VSC Light comes on and brake pulsation

you most likely have an "air gap" or "tone ring" problem with one of your sensors or tone rings. i would suggest letting a technician diagnos which problem it is, as it is a diagnosis that requires some experience.

Install maf sensor

MAP sensors are normally in the exhaust manifold with a wire and plug in the end of it. Pull plug (and wires) and it should have right hand threads where it screws in. Remove with proper size socket and reverse for installation.

My brake light will not go out on my 2000 rx 300, but its not the abs light

This light usually comes on if you have a failed wheel speed sensor but these vehicles are common for the ABS module to fail causing the same problem. You can back probe the wires comming out of each wheel speed sensor with the wheel lifted in the air and check for ac voltage as you spin the wheel.

What ever sensor does not put out voltage needs to be replaced if they all seeem to work it is likely the ABS module. Before you replace any parts you would want to have the ABS module checked for codes at one of your local shops that has a high end scantool that can access those codes.

Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

My RX 300 pulses the abs every time I hit the brakes, regardless of weather or road conditions.

Sounds like abs sensor is gone on one of the front calibers. If you look at your front breaks youll see the wires that go just behind the calibers make sure none of them are cut or broke

Lexus RX 300 symbol

That's a traction control or skid control system indicator. Usually these systems are on by default, so if you turn them off (or if they fail) the indicator will come on so you know the system is not engaged. I would have a shop scan the computer for fault codes to see if a failure is logged - it may be with a yaw sensor, or a wheel speed sensor (which could also manifest as an ABS problem), or some other fault, including a possible stability control computer failure or fault. But the first step is to see if there are any codes stored in the system, and those codes will point you in the right direction to fix the problem.
