SOURCE: i lost my keys for my 2001 ford explorer and it

My granddad lost the key to his 2001 Ford explorer. While trying to help him find a cheap solution, I found Rush Locks and Keys. I was able to order the key blank from them and then go to a Ford dealership to have it cut and programmed. The dealership was ******, but I saved over 60% of what they would have charged me cuz I bought the key from Rush. Worked for me--good luck man.

SOURCE: how do i bypass the theft sercurity in my ignition because i changed my ignition out to a regular ignition and key without a chip

The security system is still looking for that signal from the chip. That's why you are not starting. Go to this link, should have all the info you need to bypass that.

Remove the ring antenna around the barrel, put the old good chip key in the ring (...) start with the other key the car.The immo will read the regular key but the new barrel will work with the new key.Need reprograming the keys or switch the boards/chips in the key.

New key will not turn ignition

-Does it have computer chip...?
-If so. You must get from dealer or some one that cut key and can program the computer chip. Other than that regular spare key can open door and trunk only "Can't start".

Is there a chip in the ignition key for a 2008 hyundai accent of is it a standard key. if a chip whats the price for a replacement?

Only the dealer is capable of making a key with a chip and they are $$$.You can try a regular key make shop and they will know too what it is if the dealer is already closed.Good luck! Greg

I have a 2001 ford explorer. If i tape the chip key under the dash will the computer pick up the chip key if i try to start it with a regular key?

I don't know why you would want to do that, unless your key is broken and your trying to used your spare key, but no that will not work, you would need to hold the key with the chip next to the ignition key hole for the computer to pick up the chip's signal.
