Joe, Kelly Blue Book for a "94 Geo Metro. With average mileage 100,000 plus, and in Fair condition. Is $299-$648.
Time o cut your losses and go get you another car. Or head out to the junkyard. A tranny form the yard will probably cost as much as the rig is worth. On the positive side they are reasonably easy to replace and light too.
Good luck with this project !!!
Jason

Try this
Here are the most common causes of surges, stalls at stops, low erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation, it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
SOURCE: 5 speed manual transmission. reverse will not engage
I had the same problem. A spring in the gear change selector had broken making it impossible to get into reverse and very difficult into first to fifth. Simple repair. Might be similar to your problem
SOURCE: I need an exploded diagram of a 5 speed manual
try these websites www.autozone.com and www.alldatadiy.com if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your tracker wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.also try these guys they sells only GM-parts its Schram auto & truck parts 1-800-292-1092 and they website is www.schramauto.com
SOURCE: location of drain plug, fill plug and correct oil level plug for 5 speed manual transmission
I don't know if there is a fill plug. I just use the level plug located on driver's side right above the inner CV joint of the half-shaft (axle) to fill it. A piece of flexible tubing connected to a funnel works well. The drain plug is fairly near the center of the bottom of the gearbox housing (behind the bell housing). The level plug has a 24mm, fairly flat, hex head, and the drain plug is a recessed plug with a 3/8" (?) square hole (for a socket handle).
