If it has a plugged injector, yes. If it is a bad plug or plug wire, then no. If it is a machanical problem, no. While the engine is running carefully ( you may get a shock if not careful) disconnect one plug wire at a time. You might find out which cylinder is not working. Hooking up a scanner is a better option and can locate the problem without pain, except in the wallet.

SOURCE: Daihatsu Copen Rims

you need to go to a body shop who does guard rolling and get it done properly as the 17's will look better than 15's, they can do it with out damageing the paintwork

SOURCE: change the oil filter of a daihatsu copen

unless there is something unusual about it... the filter unscrews and you install a new one. you should put a drop of oil on your finger and rub it around the filter gasket before you screw it back on the motor. often you will need an oil filter wrench, abit of a misnomer as it is basically a band that goes around the oil filter with a handle. the newer style is a large socket piece that fits over the end of the oil filter and you turn with a rachet.

DAIHATSU FEROZAdistributor assembly ,complete/ please can anyone send me please?

Do you mean car lubrication oil dispenser of daihatsu ayla?
For automobiles, many internal parts need lubricating oil for lubrication. The lubricating oil is distributed through the lubricating oil distributor, because the general oil path is equipped with a lubricator, and the lubricating oil distributor is installed on the oiler. Because the oiler usually has only one oil outlet, only through the distributor can the lubricating oil be quantitatively distributed from the oil outlet to lubricate the parts.

1993 buick century feul problem

Possible fault with the fuel pump or the calibration. Check the fuel tank for impurities, check if there is water within the tank that could have seeped through. If the engine is hunting then the fuel settings must be corrected and so retuned.

We have a 1990 Daihatsu charade, at times when we start the car and drive we hear a whistling noise, this occurs now and then, does anyone know what this could be? And also how do we get the rev odometer...

1. That whistling noise is a loose fan belt, tighten it or replace it.

2.The odometer - just remove the end that goes into the engine and have the groove on it enhanced , it will work fine

Car will not start from cold

Yes the best solution is to read the fault codes from the ECU.

This is a fuel injected engine and will rely on the coolant temp sensor, air temp sensor, MAP sensor and possibly the oxygen sensor to provide suitable fueling. I seem to recall the spark and injector timing is via a cam position sensor.

Your best bet might be to have a mobile tuner with an OBD reader make a visit.

You can try to retrieve them yourself:

Electrical problem in Daihatsu copen

ok so looks like this one has been solved by the dealer.
I had it towed to them, and they said the battery had to be replaced (only had 8vlt in it)
and something to do with the cell inside the battery had failled. No surprise here - its the same battery which came with the car - 5 years or so ago.
They are still working on it, so wont know if its anything else. Battery's in Australia arent cheap
for this car - 125 dollars, and neither are most parts. But then i use the car for business, and drive everywhere. The car was used everyday, but i suspect it went flat, as most copen owners would know, seems to go flat if you dont use the car for some period of time, like 1 week or so,'
