Hi Tony My name is Tim Dorton. Wow, this is a good one. Some say it controls the side and tail lamps, sounds like something the flasher would do. Others say it's for daytime running lights. Most cars have a turn signal flasher, even kia. Are the turn signals working? If so pull the tns relay and see if they stop.

needs looking at because it could be switch that allows it to turn on if sufficient gas is present ,or a problem with the clima compùter ,but to do anything you will need the special machine to empty the system then check things out so take to an authorised AC garage ,because these systems are a potential accident and you could lose a finger with frostbite in a matter of less than 2 seconds .therefore i will not tell you how to look for a soloution because of the dangerous nature of playing with air con

SOURCE: I have replaced the combination switch and the flasher on my 2001 Kia spectra and the turn signals still don't work. The emergency flashers work but not the turn signals..what am I missing?

Check the fuses. And some cars have a separate flasher for the turn signals and separate flasher for the hazards. Also make sure the correct bulbs are in your lights. Incorrect bulbs can cause the flasher to take a long time to kick in

I own a Kia Spectra 2007 and my turn signals stop blinking after a few seconds both right and left..

-Most likely the turn signal relay is bad.
-Check it out and replace with new one if it is. You can do yourself. Most car the flash relay or turn signal relay is locate inside under the dash of the driver side or on the kick panel of the driver side. If you see it then just unplug and plug in new one.

Good luck

Hello, I have a 2002 Kia Rio 4 dr. When you turn on the light switch for the lights to come on..the switch is supposed to turn on the headlights, taillights and light on the dashboard. Now the swtich...

Check for power at the left and right tail lamp fuses in the fueblock. If there is no power check the TNS fuse. If there is power there than you can try swapping the TNS relay with another relay in the fuseblock that is the same. If there is still no power after swapping the TNS relay you need to check the light switch.

You need to check the green wire on pin two on the back of the light switch to see if there is power there. If there is power than the light switch is probably bad.

You could also check the light switch operation with the TNS relay removed. Two of the pins in the fuse block should have power to them. One should be grounded all the time (the one that feeds power to the fuses) and one should be grounded only when the light switch is on.

Since the instrument cluster illumination gets its power from the right taillight fuse it has to be one of the above.
