Your transmission should be either a 200r4 or 700r4 which are not controlled by the ecm. Shifting is controlled by a shift cable connected to the throttle body.

SOURCE: Heater Core Replacement for 1986 Buick Electra Park Ave

there is no easy way to change out a heater core...you have to take the bottom part of the dash loose and that takes some doing. once you get the bottom of the dash apart you will see the heater core.then you have to go under the hood and unhook both water lines that run to it, you should then be able to pull the heater core out and install the new one

1995 ford f150 truck 302motor what trannsmission did ford install

Hi There,

It should be either a 4R70w or E4OD, check the trans code on the drivers door decal and compare it to this list.

Transmission codes from 1995 Manual M = manual 5 speed overdrive (Mazda?) E = Automatic E40D G = C6 auto U = 4R70W (4spd auto with overdrive) C = manual 5 speed close ratio (Z-F) W = 5 speed H.D. Overdrive Transmission codes start with "TR" then are followed by one of the letters above.

HOW TO ADJUST TRANSMISSION BANDS

Bands only need adjustment when your rebuilding it

They don't wear enough to need to go back years
later to check them

You have to be careful when you turn the bolt you go
the right way or parts fall down into the pan & your done.

You bring the band down tight on the drum & back off
from 3/4 to 1 1/2 turn depending on the trans model

Any trans shop or the internet may get you the correct spec

Reducing fuel consumption of Toyota tercel 1986 car

This is a very wide encompassing question. It basically revolves around a thorough engine diagnostics and tune up, replacing filters and plugs etc. The quality of all oils will have a small influence on fuel consumption, as will type of tyres and tyre pressures. The most profound influence on fuel consumption is however your driving style and that is a subject too vast to go into here. It boils down to a smooth driving style, judicious use of the transmission (manual or automatic) and driving within the engine torque range whenever possible. Finally high speed requires additional fuel to deliver the power it needs to overcome wind and rolling resistances.
