Is there a speed sensor located internally in a 2005 pontiac G6 transmission? I have already changed the speed sensor behind and below the alternator. Will not shift out of low gear.
What have you checked so far ? Is the security light staying on ? Do you have power on the small purple wire at the starter when the key switch is in the start position ?
Try tapping on the side of the starter with a pry bar and a hammer. Do not hit too hard though. Hitting too hard will damage the starter. If the engine starts try cleaning the electrical contacts on the starter. If the problem persists replace the starter.
I would check the crank fuse in the fusebox. Also check to see if when the key is turned to the starting position, that there is power going to the small terminal on the starter solenoid.
