Hi, could be that there is no power from the switch to the window, first check fuses, if not that, then check power at the switch, will need to take switch out to check with a screwdriver test lamp, there is a how to undo switch on utube, hope you sort it all the best.

When you open the drivers door you can see a wiring harness between the door and the body of the car.
You more than likely have wires broken in there.

SOURCE: the keyless entry/remote will not open my driver's

Sounds like either the drivers door controls have gotten damaged from either water or a rogue softdrink. Try swapping it with a known good one, i.e. junkyard tested or ebay. Unless you feel comfortable taking it out of the door and testing it with a multimeter.

For a 2000 Lexus RX300, the windows all work when controlled from the drivers seat, but won't work from other doors. I've tried turning the master window control switch on and off...any ideas?

You have a bad ground wire somewhere; probably right off the drivers side door. It may be difficult to locate because all the window switches are wired to the master control switch on the driver side door. I often find the wire breaks somewhere in the conduit between the door and the dash. All the opening and closing of the door damages the wire, particularly when the wire doesn't have any room to flex. Once you find it and bypass the broken connection all the switches will work. Start with the connections on the switch and work your way to the dash. You probably can find a good YouTube video that can show you how it's done. A multimeter will be very useful checking the continuity of the wires. I like to disconnect the switches in both the driver and passenger doors. I will then use a piece of wire to bridge the connections on (passenger) door connector, or ground out to the vehicle body. You can use the multimeter probes on the driver side connector to find the broken connection without tracing the whole wire harness. There should only be one hot wire that is supplied with power on the drivers side connector. Use the multimeter to find the hot wire first, using the vehicle frame as the ground, and then ignore it. Once you find the color of the wire that's broken you can just follow it along the wire harness till you find the break.

Need to remove passenger door panel on my lexus rx300. The window fell in the door and need to pull it out.

basically you remove all the screws (put them in a cup) from the inside door handle and window controls, the rest of the panel prys off from the edges , carefully with flat screwdriver, don't worry about breaking the plastic push in clips that hold the door panel on, the are replaceable for cheep at auto supply stores and lowes, home depot have them also, hope this helps?

Driver's side window will not work. Door locks work.

My mechanic took out the panel on the driver side control because my right rear passenger window would not work after disconnecting the battery (but the control on the passenger rear door works) and when he put it back, it's possible it's just a loose wiring connection. My car is a 2006 Lexus RX330 with 58K miles on it.

I am needing a door lock actuator (passenger door) for my 2000 Lexus RX300. Do you know of any parts places besides Lexus where I might find one ?

Try to find your solution here, from Germany Lexus Owners:

I justreplaced my door lock actuator on my 2003 Lexus RX300. A rather comprehensive set of instructions for removal of the door panel can be found at: door+panel+removal

To remove the door handle trim: after removing the screw in the door handle trim, pry (I use a painters 5 in 1 tool) the trim piece outwardsfrom the rear of the door panel at both the top and bottom of the trim piece. This will release the two small rear clips. Then push the trim forward to release the main clip located on the back side the handle trim piece

As the least expensive OEM replacement door lock actuator for Lexus RX300 is $230 or more, I opted for the $15 replacement option as outlined below:

Keep in mind that this job outlined above is a bit on the technical side.If you aren't that talented, spend the money and order a OEM Lexus replacement latch actuator and do the installation as the OEM latch assembly is not repairable.

Viel Gluck (good luck in German)

I hope helps with this. Good luck.

Passenger & rear power windows not working

First to keep with the basics, make sure you haven't inadvertantly hit the safety lockout button on your drivers side control panel. Then pop out or unscrew the switch from it's holder and check with a test light if the power is being ditributed to the other windows, if not you'll need a new door control modual and you'll have to take it to the dealer so they can code it and activate it according to your keyless entry system. This is probably covered under waranty and or recall. Thank you, Dana
