I have a 2003 Ford F-1150 XLT and was told it had DRL, but no lights visible unless headlights are turned on. Did all 203 F-150 models have DRL? If so, what might be the cause of these not working?

Who told you it has daytime running lamps ? Dealer ?
Principles of Operation
The daytime running lamps (DRL) are implemented by using the low beams at a reduced voltage of approximately 80% system voltage. This is accomplished by inserting a DRL resistor (14A601) in series with the low beam filaments. When the headlamp switch (11654) is engaged, the daytime running lamp function is disabled and the low beam filaments receive 100% system voltage.

  1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system.
  1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of electrical damage.

Visual Inspection Chart Electrical

1996 ford explorer head light has high beam but no low beam. Im wondering if it is a ground that is loose or maybe my dimmer switch is failing

The components involved in your headlamp system vary considerably depending on whether your vehicle is equipped with "Auto Lamps", "Daytime Running Lamps" and/or "Fog Lamps". In any of these cases, both the High Beam and the Low Beam elements share the same grounds. Yes, it could be the dimmer switch. It could also be the Daytime running lamp module or the Headlamp Switch or the Auto Lamp Control Unit. It is also possible that you simply have both of your Low Beam Headlamp elements burned out or have bad sockets where they connect to the wiring harness.

1994 ford f-150 with day time running lights headlightnot working

Daytime Running Lamps
The daytime running lamp (DRL) system is designed to turn the high beam headlamps on, with a reduced light output, and without illuminating the high beam indicator lamp in the instrument panel. You have a DRL Module.
The multifunction switch is the stalk on your column.

This is 96 F150 circuit. Don't have 94.
