You should be able to open the door manually with the key and you may have to turn it twice. Also try unlocking it whilst at the same time pulling on the door handle to the opening position or pulling the door handle to the opening position and then working the lock to open it manually. One way or the other it is designed to be opened manually with the key when there is a power failure with the power operated central locking not then operable.

SOURCE: I've a citroen c3 picasso 12 Reg.my power steering stopped working, warning light showing on dash I've been told it's a common fault and that citroen will repair free if under 80 000 miles. Any info?
repair free ?' dont think so -these are electric motors fitted to the steering coloumn all electronic controlled and if some little uneducated grease monkey from a certain quick fit firm has played with it adjusting tracking on only arm and not keeping it central then this will cause BIG problems .
