Electric Window problem

My Dodge Durango's rear passenger window no longer goies up or down with the switch. I hear the motor when the switch is used but the window just falls in the door and will not come back up.

It sounds like the regulator or track is lined up properly.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll see everything

99 durango, both front and back passenger side windows dont role down. driver side front and rear role up and down fine

There are a few possible reasons why the front and back passenger side windows on your 99 Durango aren't rolling down:
  1. Faulty window regulator: The window regulator is the mechanism that moves the window up and down. Over time, the regulator can become worn or damaged, making it difficult or impossible to operate the window.
  2. Electrical issue: It's possible that there's an issue with the electrical system that powers the passenger side windows. This could be caused by a blown fuse, a faulty switch, or a problem with the wiring.
  3. Window motor failure: The window motor is responsible for moving the window up and down. If the motor is faulty, the window won't move.
  4. Window switch problem: The window switch could also be the culprit. If the switch is damaged or not functioning properly, the window won't roll down.
To diagnose the issue, you can start by checking the fuses related to the power windows. If the fuses are intact, you can use a voltmeter to check if the switch is receiving power when it's pressed. If the switch is getting power, the problem could be with the window motor or regulator.
If you're not comfortable performing these diagnostic steps, it's best to take your Durango to a qualified mechanic or automotive electrician for further inspection and repair.

1999 dodge durango, all the windows work except the front passenger window. Would this be a fuse problem? or is there something wrong with just that window?

HI there is one fuse for all the windows .
check the window switches. main switch on driver side and the passenger side
if window works with main switch .then you have bad switch on passenger
side .but if nothing works .it is the window motor

My 2000 Durango electrical/wiring problems...

The power lock problem is definately the electric lock actuator in the door. Replace it.
The power window problem could be the switch or the motor.
Put a test light on the motor connections. Operate the power window switch up and down. If the light works both directions, then replace the motor. If the light only lights one direction, then replace the switch... and you still might have to replace the motor afterward so do not think that replacing the switch is absolute. They sometimes fail together.

Passenger side front window will roll down but not up. replaced window motor and still have same problem. Bought part online, came as whole assembly.Installed it and its doing the same thing as the factory...

if the window rolls down the motor is good. I assume the window will not operate from the drivers door or the passenger door, and the lock out button is ok (the rear windows work ok?) I am not sure about a Durango but you may take a rear window switch out and try it on the front. sometimes if you try going up, flip the switch and push it slightly more than normal and a lot of times, it just may be dirty.

1999 Dodge Durango driver side window does not roll up nor down.

Remove the door panel and find the window motor Unplug it and using a separate car battery run cables directly to the window motor When you switch the polarity the motor will either bring the window up or down or if noting happened change the window motor and window regulator assembly.

Passenger window wont go down but can hear motor working

You need to replace the regulator inside the door. It's the little pulley system that will pull your window up and down when you push the button.
Takes about 20 minutes to fix, so you're looking at about 100.00 at the garage.
