If you have spark from the coil your problem has to be ignition cap or rotor. The plug wires will not fail all at once. If there is adequate spark going in to the cap and nothing coming out look there first. What does I replaced everything mean?

I don't think your trouble is on the ignition side of it but I am sure that you must have a look at the idle speed control(stepper motor).
If with temperatuer your "misfire"changes to better, it means that it's probably running too lean at cold, normally the stepper motor or ISC does this job.
Let us know how you get on.

Maybe check the flex plate. I had a 94 concorde with a similar problem. Scanner said it was the cam and crank sensors. The flex plate can get a crack around the bolt pattern which allows it to shimmy when running. throwing off the cam and crank somehow as the mechanic tried to explain to me.

The PCM is located in the rear right corner of the engine compartment, sticking to the firewall:

The PCM can be replaced with a new or used god-working one. In both cases the PCM must be reprogrammed using a Tech 2 tool that costs about $3000. The operation is done at the garage.

The PCM is unlikely causing misfire on a single cylinder. Check wires going to spark plugs. If the coil is getting no 12V on the ignition side check ignition. It is strange that one coil has no power, the engine usually does not start when that happens because the same coil gives power to spark plugs on different cylinders.

Check if there is a capacitor fixed to the head aside the coil (there should be one). It should be cylindrical and one inch long, held by a single screw and located aside the coil. If there is a capacitor, that must be replaced with the coil. If you have not replaced the capacitor that is probably involved in the problem.

If you have already replaced crankshaft position sensor, check crankshaft position sensor harness in PCM. I uploaded here the bulletin with CKPS to PCM testing:2003 Taurus CKPK PCM testing.

Test the PCM and CKPS connectors. Check again voltage to coils and spark plug cables. I understood that spark plug cable nr.3 has no spark from coil. Check DC in from ignition to coil.

Car turns over but wont start

First step will be to have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up. If your pressure is low or not there at all, probably a fuel pump or fuel pressure sensor. If your fuel pressure is good, the next things to check would be spark plugs and coil packs, are the plugs worn/dirty and are the coil packs cracked, also have it checked to make sure the valve on the throttle body isn't stuck closed. Very basics of a car starting are always spark, air, fuel the fuel and air need to mix together properly then you need good spark to ignite it. Everything I have mentioned should be able to be properly checked by any good mechanic or shop. I work at a Volvo dealership and some things can get complicated for even a great mechanic that is not familiar with volvos. If none of the above mentioned are the problem and your mechanic doesn't easily find something other than what I mentioned then I would recommend taking it to a dealership. If it is one of the things I mentioned a good local mechanic or shop should be able to fix it and you'll probable save compared to having it fixed at dealership. Hope this helps, good luck

My 1993 volvo 940 has fire where should be, and gas flow where should, but still want crank can you give me solution this my problem

Ok. if you have made sure you have ignition spark at the spark plugs by turning over the engine with a spark plug wire off and held next to the block and you have also made sure your Fuel injection is pulsing and putting fuel into the engine, start from scratch.Pull out all your spark plugs, clean them off check the gap and let the cylinders dry out.The put them back, turn the key to on and make sure again that y our fuel injection is priming the system. Then spin the engine over.if you are still not getting the car to start, then you may need to check and make sure your camshaft is not broken by spinning the engine over and making sure you have spark at each plug.Try that and repost.Good luck.

I have a 1988 volvo 740 turbo with no spark. I tested the coil and it is good. with key on I am getting oscillating power. Also when the ignition is just turned to on and not cranked I can hear two...

check the crankshaft postioning sensor. this should be located at the rear of the engine where the tranny and engine mount. if its bad it will not let the coil put out spark. I had the same problem with my 940 and that solved my problem. try this, gently pull up on the sensor cable, then try to start the car. sometimes it will start, but if the sensor is completely gone, replace it.

I am getting no spark to my coil 93' 940 turbo.

In or around the distributor. Looks like a small black box with a rectangle plug, or a black and silver box with three oval plugs, depending on which type of distributor you have. You will need to know if it's a Bosch or Regina dist. when you go to purchase the replacement part. Your parts store may also be able to test it for you once you get it out.

No spark

Behind the engine on top of the tranny bell housing is the crank angle sensor.  Try wiggiling the harness.

Need to remove crank sensor on 1991 940 (2 litre)

Had you had the car scanned? It could be something else? Fuel pump, relay, fuse...
Is there any spark at the plugs? Is there fuel coming to the injectors?
There are a few things that can cause a car not to start, Is the engine light on?
Best way is to get the car scannd, if not you'll end up replacing unneccesary parts by trial and error.

Volvo 940 turbo

Check the fuel pump relay (white inside and back of fuse area behind the cig ashtray). They get old and quit.

Second, check frayed wires on the crank angle sender - they could be grounding out on the rear of the engine.

Perform a check on the ECT switch (toward rear of head under the intake manifold (hidden over the oil trap). It's a nuckel buster to remove, and ou don't want to break it.

Also check spark plugs for wear and gap. Check coil wire, and plug wires for jumping spark.
