Coil misfiring? I had to have my car towed 11 days ago and they told me the coil was misfiring and they replaced it. Tonight I drove it and it was doing the same thing! It sounds like crud when its idling and when I slow down it seems like its going to die! Is it the coil again? Will it be under warranty still?

It could be the coil again or the module which both coils sit on could be bad. A bad crank sensor will also cause this problem.

The malfunction indicator light came on about a month ago in my Suzuki Alto (2005) and I took it to the garage and was told there was a misfire in cylinder 2. I was told it was fine so they reset the light...

If the code has been a misfire in the same cylinder every time, the problem is very likely the ignition coil for that cylinder. When the ignition coil first starts to go, the malfunctions will be sporadic and therefore difficult to troubleshoot. The ignition coil can be tested for resistance on both primary and secondary windings in the coil to prove it is failing.

Multiple misfire cyl 3 cyl 6

your vehicle uses a wasted coil pack so two cylinders fail together using that coil so change the coil pack sounds like the favorite to me 3 and 6 are the two cylinders using the same ignition coil
