The advise by Techbuster was a bit off. The '09 is a bit different than the earlier models. To change the filter, pull the center divider in the glove box straight forward. The cabin filter housing in immediately behind it. Push the two clips on the outer edges inward and slide the tray out. Replace the filter, reinsert the tray, replace the center divider.

Much easier, took longer to find correct instructions than completing the job. Only took 3 minutes and sved $50 that dealer wanted to charge to do the work.

For the 2009 Acura TL, all you need to in order to change the dust and poller filter (also known as cabin air filter) is to remove two plastic clips (next to the trunk on/off switch) in the glove box. In order to remove them, push the inner hole.
Once those clips are removed, you have to pull the whole glove box assembly out. It could be hard since it's connected with a lot of clips. Once you remove it, you might have to unplug a couple of wires and you should see the front of the filter's cover.

I was recently changed the cabin filter on my TL 04, i don't think it necessary, it is more like optional but if you change filter for your engine, why not change the air you breathe inside the car. After i change my cabin filter i noticed more air are been circulate through out and also fresher than before. the price for a cabin fiter is also relatively cheap less than $10. took me 15 mins to do it. check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQsDxqxyeqM

Where is the cabin filter?

I checked several on line parts stores. No one lists a cabin filter. I do not think you have a cabin filter. I believe models prior to 2000 did not have them. Check with your local Acura Dealer's Parts Department.

The two filters are located behind your glove compartment, you have to remove the glove box and you'll find them.
