Stalls when going up hills. - 2000 Cadillac DeVille

Start with the fuel filter. Could be the fuel pump also. Pressure would have to be checked.

change your fuel pump filter and put some injector cleaner through a half tank of gas and drive

check the bellow on the throttlebody it is probibly cracked they dryrot

sounds like a fuel issue how are the rmp's when going up is the vehicle starving for fuel may be a restriction in fuel system

IF it is stalling going up hill then just put it into a lower gear.... or if that is not an option then you can turn the idle screw clockwise to increase the idle but it is not recommended. The car has a set idle for a reason and the systems within it are designed for that specific idle.

Plugged fuel filter? Going up hill will demand more fuel so maybe the filter is restricting high flow.

Do you have any check engine lights etc on dash?
Have you checked for stored codes?

1-Bad --Ignition Coil
2-Bad--Egr Valve.
3-Bad--TPS Sensor
3--Fuel Filter Clogged
4--Worn out and Clogged Converter

Check out those possibilities,one at a time.
