Question about 1988 Chevrolet Corvette
Even with ignition off and key out. Push off and fan goes to defrost. I'm assuming controll panel. Any thoughts????
It's a defrost bypass valve that redirects the freon to releave the high head pressure caused by shutdown. When the pressure balances it will go back to normal. An iced up evaporator causes poorheat load levels and it affects the whole system. You may want to have the system chked for a proper charge in the a/c system. Personnaly I wouldn't be concerned. Good Luck, Ned.
