How do I reset the anti theft on my 2003 Audi A4 quattro? My car won't start!

One of the simplest ways to do this is to lock all the doors manually if you can, stand outside the car with your key in hand. Insert the key into the driver door key slot and turn it to Lock, Lock, Unlock, Unlock. That should tell the vehicle that it is supposed to turn off the anti theft. This can happen whenever the battery dies or looses power for whatever reason. It also happens frequently when someone locks their keys in their car and a towman or locksmith opens their door for them. Those professionals should have done the reset as part of their process though.

Last month I lost my key fob to my 2005 Acura RL. I paid a locksmith to make me a manual key and I've been starting and driving the car with no problems. I can unlock the door with the manual key, but I...

See above owners manual.

If you have been using your plain key to unlock the door and start without a remote then likely your lost set is in the vehical and the remote battery has run low.

I believe the alarm is an unauthorized entry and not the immobilizer as it wouldn't start/run.

Try digging into seat crevices, underneath, or between seats and center console... likely the lost remote and transponder key are somewhere inside the car.

Audi a4 stalled and wont start

Remove the air filter and squirt a bit starter fluid into the intake manifold , then immediately try to start the car if it starts , that is an indication there is no fuel going to the engine ,check the fuel system,if it does not start , you may have an ignition problem.

I have a 2001 audi a4 cant program the remote i tried the 2 key thing the lihgt will flash once like there spose too but nothing after that

1. Put a key in the ignition and turn key to On position (not running)
2. Get out of the car, but the unpaired fob in the drivers door and turn it to the lock position, then while holding it there, press the lock or unlock button on the new remote.

If this doesn't work, change the battery's in your key fob,

if that doesn't work, check your fuses , number 14, and 38

Program a remote key for 03 A6

I have an A4 and did this to re-program my key:

1. used the key to start the car...then turned it off
2. put the key in the driver door (door closed)
3. pressed the lock button on the key fob once
4. turned the key to lock the door.

This is basically the steps in the owners manual, but the car must be started with the key first, and the key must be in the door lock before pressing the lock button.
