SOURCE: IAC Valve Location - 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The idle air control valve is located on the back of the throttle body. It has an oval electrical connector and two torx screws holding it in. Unplug the connector, remove the two screws then lightly tap the body with a soft faced mallet to loosen it from the body.
Once you have it out and prior to installing a new valve clean the seat inside the throttle body where the idle control fits. This must be very clean! Installation is in the reverse order.
To save some cash, pull the valve out and clean it with throttle body cleaner, this usually fixes the problem for quite a while.
Good luck and hope this helps.

SOURCE: IAC control valve. Locato\ion 2002 ford escape

If it's not idling and has problems starting, it's probably the IAC motor. It's located on the throttle body. Follow the airfilter box all the way to the engine, where the rubber flex hose attaches. The throttle body should be the first aluminum part you come to. Attached to the side you'll find small little aluminum part with a small wire harness attached. Unplug it, take the IAC motor off and clean inside with carb cleaner. This should fix the problem with the idle.

SOURCE: location of iac valve f150 5.4 triton

This particular vehicle does not have an IAC valve. This is because it is equipped with ETC (Electronic Throttle Control). This means there is no mechanical connection between the accelerator pedal and the throttle plate. Instead, the throttle plate is controlled by an electric motor to control its engine speed, based on "input" it receives from the PCM. The accelerator pedal is connected to three poteniometers. Two that increase, and one that decreases voltage in a particular proportion. If they fail, the vehicle goes into what's called a "forced idle" mode of operation. Hope this helps.

2009 Holden Barina IAC Valve location?

Try cleaning the Throttle Body before replacing it. You can also clean the IAC. Poor idling is usually the Throttle body not closing properly.

What is the purpose of the IAT? 2006 jeep grand cherokee laredo

Do you mean IAC. This is the Idle Air Control Valve and would be what you need to replace.
The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve is an electric actuator controlled by the engine computer, which regulates the engine's idle speed. A faulty IAC valve will make the engine idle rough and possibly stall.

My 04 Jeep GC is idling around 500rpm in Drive and Reverse. I had the IAC valve replaced after it was doing this about a month earlier, and it seemed to be the problem...until yesterday. The idling

it could be a new bad IAC motor...especially if its an aftermarket brand!! something like that even though the part is a little more expensive go with OEM jeep parts, especially electrical stuff.

Where is the IAC Valve located on a 2006 Jeep Commander 3.7L V6 Car?

I also drive a 2006 Jeep Commander 4.7L V8. I can't seem to find anything that looks like an IAC. My rpm fluctuates in idle mode. What can I possibly do to rectify it without breaking the bank?

How i clean Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve

well, first of all remove from vehicle. most iac have 2 torx screws to remove it. use an old toothbrush or similar to clean it. do not put body of iac in any liquid or it will ruin it. just clean valve on end of iac. also do not push on iac valve, because it will mess up idle of vehicle. just clean the valve on end to remove carbon build up and dirt. you can use brake cleaner or throttle body cleaner for this. it is also a good idea to clean around throttle plate to remove carbon on throttle body itself. but do iac first and put back on throttle body. have a good day!

Jeep will not start unless you give it gas and then after it is running if you take your foot off the gas pedal it dies. Car has new starter.

It's nice that your starter is new, but your starter does not start the car...it turns the engine so it can start. So it has nothing to do with your problem...I would check for vacuum leaks at each and every vacuum hose. Then look at possible throttle position sensor and idle control valve./ valve passages. (there are electrical tests you can make on these and valve can be cleaned with carb cleaner, (carefully without turning internal plunger.)
