At the risk of sounding silly, if all the function it is supposed to do work, then the switch is clearly working.
If something is not working, then you just need to follow some basic troubleshooting to see if there is electrical power going to the device that is not working.
To do this you need a wiring diagram and a multimeter. You use the multimeter to trace the power from the switch. if no power at switch, then the switch is faulty, otherwise it is a wiring fault or a device fault.
Unless you know what you are doing, this can get a bit tricky, so you are probably best to take your vehicle to an auto electrician and tell him what is wrong.
SOURCE: Adding AC to my 1990 Dodge D150
good evening and welcome to fixya
adding ac to your dodge is kind of complicated. are you going to be doing the job or are you contracting it out? there are a few ways to go about doing this: one is you can hunt down another d150 that came from the factory with a/c and use all the parts from it. the second is you can look at purchasing an aftermarket all in one ac unit, sometimes you must do a bit of modifications to install this unit. the third is the most expensive but all new, you can go to your local chrysler dealer and ask for the schematic of the ac system for your vehicle and tell them what you want to do and they will give you a parts list, this list will include a new radiator to accomadate the a/c condenser. the major parts you will need are the condenser, switch panel, compressor and all brackets to hook up the compressor, the ac box under the dash the has the evap coil in it, you will need a set of lines and accumulator, pressure switchs high and low, expansion block, freeze switch, and possibly you will have to change the pulley setup on the front of the engine to accomdate the new belt for the compressor. this is a good starting point of the items that are required. hope this helps good luck to you.
please rate this solution??
SOURCE: I have a 2000 5.2 that won't start. Changed PU
Could be one of two things. If you changed all of this and still no spark it is either a ground problem or computer is bad.
SOURCE: where is the fuel filter for dodge d150 1990
On the early models the fuel filter was mounted in the frame between the fuel pump and fuel tank on the passenger side of the truck. On later models a fuel filter was installed just under the alternator on passanger side of the truck. Both filters for the early and later models are inline. Hope this will help you.
SOURCE: how much transmission fluid is need for a 1990
4-5 quarts after a filter change. I usually start with 4 and add the 5th as needed, sometimes it only takes half, depending on how much drained out of the converter and cooler.
