Those are known to stretch the timing chains once they get up in miles to the point where the engine goes out of mechanical crankshaft to camshaft timing enough not start. In order to confirm this is the issue a person would have to turn the crankshaft to cyl. 1 top dead center and see if the camshaft timing marks line up where they should. I can elaborate if this is something you'd like to do yourself.

When your engine cranks but won't start or run, it could mean your engine is having trouble producing a spark, getting fuel, or creating compression. The most common causes are in the ignition (for example, a bad ignition coil) or fuel system (for example, a clogged fuel filter).

when you are looking at the engine pull off the plastic cover on top then the front cover that covers you timing belt there is a wire harness tha goes right to it in the left upper coner two ten mil bolts and it comes off careful not to drop bolts down in belt that could be bad. it is that easy

SOURCE: camshaft position sensor correlation bank 1 code

timing belt is off by a tooth or two. you probably didn\'t have to replace the coolant sensor; that code sets whenever the sensor is disconnected and the ignition is turned on; and it needs to be reset by disconnecting the battery or with a code reader. anyway, the crank/ cam sensors are out of sync. if you\'ve got the twin cam engine, they are a royal pain to get the belt to lay properly on the two cams.

Remove the driver side rear ignition coil bolts. Reposition the coil. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector. # Use penetrating oil and allow the oil to soak around the CKP sensor prior to removing the sensor. You're looking at left, rear side of engine.
CAMSHAFT POS.
front side of engine on the drives side about half way up the timing cover, not hard to get to.

I have a 2003 VW Passat W8 and the fuel pump won't turn on. The pump works until it goes in tank. The fuse is good and the relay clicks?????

no enigine told gas or diesel.
i cant see what you are doing
rules :
never run any pump dry, it is fuel lubricated and cooled.
if engine cranks and will not run (not told you)
then measure pump pressure only cranking, cranking matters. PSI cranking only matters, dead engine,.
some cars have key on prime pulse others do not. or based on air temps, yes/no. rules complex. avoid prime pump tests. (savvy?)
some new bosch pumps are 100% silent so noise tests are not good now, use use cranking PSI pressure only if wise. and hate taking a bath in fuel.
11vdc to pump pins cranked. (11vdc is battery resistance drop)
PSI cranked.
that is what matters.

below is battery voltage drop cranked, all 100% good
see the alternator wake-up, IT MUST./
11vdc cranked and 10.5 to pump (ohms laws Vdrop normal)

My 2003 VW Passat W8 Wagon had 2 codes on it...P0206 and P0011..I would like to get them fixed but would like an idea of the costs for this...??

The 206 code may be just a connector or wiring issue, but the worst case would be the computer (driver for injector 6). The 011 is usually caused by a jammed camshaft adjuster. If that was caused by sludge, you may have a big problem. However, if the engine was well maintained, you may just need a part. The bottom line is that diagnosis is necessary before repair can be properly estimated. It is not likely that you need a new computer, but it is possible.
