It could be the volume knob potentiometer is bad or there a bad power amp fuse or wire going to it

SOURCE: Replacing rear brake pads on a 2008 ford taurus se, can't get the calpiper to expand enough to put pads on. Using tool purchased from auto parts store but it is taking a LONG time, is this normal?

the build date is on the white sticker on the drivers door

Please have the alternator and the battery tested, Autozone does this testing for free.

2013 Ford Taurus SEL Radio make a loud pop and no sound all features are working except sound

Check the fuse for the power amp and check that it's plugged in this is inside the trunk if all is good the on/off switch I know it turns on but the potentiometer part may be broken inside this part deals with the volume control

I recently swapped a 2013 Ford F-150 Limited cab and box with the 3.5L eco boost on to a 2013 Ford F-150 XLT with 5.0L rolling chassis from donor truck. I also used the PCM, BCM, 4X4, and ignition switch...

Obviously the BCM needs to be reprogrammed.

i believe that when you put the volume up to the max, you blow up the main fuse, because the new radio with volume up to the max consume more amps than the fuse is set to for the original radio.
now you have to look into the fuse boxes and replace the fuse, this will sort out the radio and the door lock problems as i hope.
