The best, SAFEST, and cheapest way to fix anything that has to with your brakes is just replace the brake line.
The brake fluid you're losing doesn't only affect that brake it will affect al four of your brakes and if the leak expands you could mash the peddle one time and have absolutely no brakes at all.
Brake lines aren't that much and it shoud take you under an hour to change it.
I hope this helps you out.

No you have to replace the line,
You cannot repair a steel pressure line with a flexible hose, it could never handle the pressure. There are two options here: 1) replace the entire brake line which would be the safest and easiest, or 2) if it is in the steel line itself you can cut out the bad section and make your own double flare tubing section to put back in with parts from any auto parts store. It has to be a double flare for max strength. If it is in the rubber section then just replace it very easily. Remember to bleed the rear brakes when finished.
It's illegel in most states, to repair a brake line section. The damaged section must be replaced.
