A NON USA CAR, where is it what country? (engines and EFI vary by, countries sold to) (2 engines in 2001) near same but....what/?
1.3 L M13A I4 (petrol) with VVT
1.5 L M15A I4 (petrol) with VVT (VVT can fail and lose power too)

well, you did not do the right tests.
not using a scan tool first is #1 cause of going astray, do that first.
Fuel consumption low tell me it, the ECU is in limp mode. and the ECU has lots of DTC errors you are ignoring.
low power has many causes. not just one #10 filter. inside the tank
let me list them to you , in no order, and is ASE class 101 basics, all the way,

  1. low fuel pressure, bad filter, bad pump bad FPR fuel pressure regulator. we use a hand tool gage to find that.
  2. bad MAF sensor has this, NO ENGINE STATED BY YOU!
  3. bad spark if misfiring, ever do a tune up in 60,000 miles.????
  4. Bad fuel ,
  5. clogged or leaking fuel injectors.
  6. bad engine, is compression at spec? (more tools)
  7. CAT Melted, (ignoring those DTC error caused this)
that is about it, can go more, but you have no tools to test, so find a shop , to fix this car, as they SURE DO HAVE all tools to do that job right and fast.

Have you thought it nay not be fuel ? Anyways replace fuel filter , replace fuel injectors , also clean throttle body , new air filter , not changing oil can also cause fuel consumption also leaking exhaust , incorrect tyre pressure lots and lots of things cause fuel consumption

SOURCE: WHAT IS THE FEUL CONSUMPTION ON A 1975 FORD F100

Guessing in the range of 18 to 22 MPG. More--better. Less, look at the air cleaner.

SOURCE: excessive fuel consumption,no power on incline,

this could be an air intake problem, check the air filter but what ive seen before is the flexible intake pipe collopse only when the engine was under pressure as you describe.Try removing this pipe & driving again but not for long as dust would enter the engine .it might confirm or elimiate this.

Where is the throttle postion ssensor on a 2001 1.3 suzuki ignis?

It will be on the fuel intake side of the engine. It will be positioned on the throttle body bolted to the back of the engine. You might need to remove the air filter box and engine cover to get better access. You unclip the wire connector and unscrew the two screws.
The attached image is only a guide and the marked area is the sensor.

Suzuki ignis 2002 power steering reservoir

Hello Mina Harker,

Saw your comment go in... Problem is...
"IGNIS" (I'm not getting as a USA model (little data here))...
but what I am looking at seems to be RIGHT-HAND DRIVES...

Which would EXPLAIN why I was seeing the PS tank behind the
RHD (drivers side headlight...

I responded there (Jurily Hawrylak's answer) as well... (if equipped) the power steering PUMP... should be quite obvious near the TOP of your serpentine belt (at least on the diagrams I am pulling up).

- Find the blue filler cap ... near the BRIGHT YELLOW dip stick handle...

At that same level... move your hand in a small circle... FEELING for a BLACK PLASTIC cap.... that says POWER STEERING fluid

Go to Bing homepage

But just for A thought... there is such a thing as an ELECTRIC POWER STEERING on a IGNIS: (worth saying)

SUZUKI IGNIS 1.3 EPS ELECTRIC POWER STEERING COLUMN + ECU KOYO Q1T18172M

When i am driving my suzuki ignis (1.3,manual,2001)in a traffic(more than 45 mins)engine starts to miss(check light indicates) and it stops.cant start it for about 10-15 mins

I have a 2001 Suzuki Ignis and I have a similar problem. When I start the engine 5 beeps are heard and the hazard lights turn off and on with each beep. Also after I have been driving for about 45 mins 3 beeps are heard and the hazard lights turn off and on again. However my engine does not stop running. I have asked people about it and they think that it has something to do with a lose wire in the security system? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
